I purchased an Onn 4K pro here in Canada. I currently also have the Onn 4k which was easy to set up and connect the remote to my TV and sound bar.
However the Onn 4K pro does not allow me to do this. When I come to selecting a TV it quickly goes to a screen that says “Something went wrong try again”. So, I tried again and again. Nothing. The same happens when I try to select my sound bar. Same message.
I have 3 different brands of TVs and it reacts the same on all 3.
I know I can use CEC, and that works fine for the TV, but not for my sound bar as it doesn’t have an HDMI port for CEC.
I took the 4k pro back to Walmart thinking it was just a dud. I then ordered another 4k pro online. Same thing.
I have been told it is a Google flaw. Does anyone know of a way to either fix the flaw or of a work around?
It is important that I only have 1 remote as the person I am setting it up for can’t handle more than one.
