Onn 4k pro - gigabit adapter help question please

Hello all, Sideline lurker here and forever grateful to Troy and all that help. Where would we be besides paying STUPID amounts of money to those that shouldn’t get our money :slight_smile:

know I need a USB 3 gigabit adapter to increase the speed of my Onn 4k pro. However, anything that I have seen on Youtube shows that it needs to be powered by an external USB C power source. I have done a reasonable amount of searching but I am having a hard time finding a gigbit adapter that has a USB C slot in it.

Heres my question Is anyone able to just get a straight USB 3 adapter , like this one, https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Network-Ethernet-Supports-Nintendo/dp/B00MYTSN18?th=1 and get it to work, plug and play or do I HAVE TO get one that is powered into a USB C slot ?

If your router is close to your ONN Pro just use WiFI. No need for Ethernet IMO

Unless I missed something, it’s my understanding that you plug your usb gig Ethernet adapter into the USB port on the ONN Pro. Or get a powered usb 3.0 powered hub with a gig ethernet port and plug it onto the USB 3 port on the ONN.
