Has anyone else had the onn 4k pro just crash while you are doing stuff.
I used the guide to install streameo and vpn. It cashed once while just looking around. It has crashed three time.now while streaming .I just started using it it Saturday and now I’m thinking I should wipe it and return it.
I have set up and using 2 Onn 4k plus.
I have experienced no “crash” of any kind. I would suggest factory reset and reinstall apps.
My only issue with the Onn is bluetooth connection seems to be bit weaker and bit buggy compared to my other boxes. I use headphones to wonder about the house while listening. The Onn sound drops out in places others have no issue. It also is a bit temperamental when changing from one headphone or ear bud to another, requiring a power down and back up to “clean” itself up.
@Jessyska I personally had crashing problems with my ONN 4k Pro V.1.

Good tips Jerry. I have an older ONN and we got a message “XUI - You have been banned. Please contact your provider for more infomation”. It worked fine at my home when I set it up, on the same ISP, but when my niece took it to her house, she got this message.
I also have two of the 4K Plus. I’ve had very few issues with them and I’m very impressed. They work better for me than the Fire TV Cube at half the price.
The problem that I’m running into is that the Bluetooth goes out/un-pairs when the stick is overheating because it’s behind a wall mounted TV and the stick doesn’t have any breathing room
I have positioned my puck with longer HDMI in different locations, different orientations to no avail. I just come to accept the bluetooth on the 4k plus is weaker than others.
Knowing is most of the battle. Plan on the weak connectivity, make accommodation and live with it is my plan.
As with all things YMMV
The issue I am having is I have the ONN plus device. I have a vpn, I use tvmate and use the projectity launcher. I am unable to side load in downloader. All codes says webpage not available “ net err empty response “
Developers options approved already a developer but cant download any apks
Aft downloader and trying to follow instructions in toolbox. Can the device be blocked?
Can someone tell me what I am missing?
@Sbj5969 I’m fairly certain that your ONN 4k Pro isn’t blocked. Did you try disabling your VPN while trying to use Downloader? If not you might try that. Also, if you do a search, here on the Insider there have been several threads discussing issues regarding downloading from the Toolbox.
It’s plugged into a power strip using its own block .Then plugged directly into the tv HDMI. This is a fresh install of streamio and my vpn, after the device updates. It works well besides just freezing and shutting down during streaming.
Just an idea, but have you looked at getting the best HDMI cable and seeing if that helps, as well as making sure you’re plugged into the ARC or eARC HDMI port?
mine bugged out the first time I used it 2 years ago and today out of nowhere while watching TV it says Android System not found my be corrupted. Try again or Factory Reset… so Factory Reset I suppose it will be… But dammit I hate to have to do ALL that yet again.. but it beats hooking up a mainstream tv box and a helluva alot cheaper I suppose. But I have 5 ONN’s and 2 have done this, this one has now done it twice. If anyone is keeping score. haha
Jessyska, my issue with my ONN Pro v.1, was caused by a switch box. I bought a very reputable switch box to handle three devices. My Shield Pro didn’t have any issue with crashing, for no apparent reason, so I dismissed that the switch box was an issue. I tried several other steps in troubleshooting but nothing worked. Finally, after several weeks, of crashing, decided to plug the ONN directly into my TV. Bingo! No crashes.
Also I just wanted to make sure that you weren’t powering your ONN Pro through the TV. The voltage from the TV’s USB is not enough to meet the demand from the device.
I would say at this point, that your 4K Pro might be defective. Which is a drag as getting a replacement can be a challenge. I am amazed at how poorly Walmart planned on having enough stock in place to meet the demand.

My ONN 4K Pro got updated and I lost some of the hack that Troy posted for Android. I lost the Launch Manager, LM Settings and LM Toolbox. Projectivy is still working except for the Wallpaper so far. I need help in getting my ONN 4K Pro back to what it was before the Update!
