i had one that would randomly disconnect itself from the internetā¦took it back to wally world and they just handed me a new one and it works greatā¦no more random disconnectā¦so there are bad boxes
On black Friday I ordered a new onn 4k plus and had it delivered to my home. But instead of getting the new blue box design I got the old yellow box design. Does this make any difference? I havenāt even opened it yet. Does anyone think thereās a difference in the onn 4k android boxes ? Is one older than the other? Iām a natural worry wart 
I have until tonight, the 22nd, to return to Walmart just in case. Thanks for any help or suggestions my friends!!!
The yellow ones are the plain onn box . The blue us the plus .

I am loving the 4k ONN Proā¦and I have most of my family on them but I am having a bunch of weird problems with Surf Shark! I connect to surf Shark and then if I minimize Tivimate, It seems like Tivimate doesnāt want to open without an error message.
I went into settings and changed one box to just IKEV2 and it seems to work well so far. I am on Starlink where I have these boxes for my family but at home Iām on a regular high speed internet and I see this issue all the time on my own ONN 4k plus which for $29.99 is thee greatest box I ever seen in all the years I been doing this.
Iām wondering if there is a certain setting for Surf Shark as itās all I run, I would love the VPN to never give a problem. Every time I feel like a disconnected VPN makes Tivimate open right up. Is this just me or did I miss something? I am thinking of going with Sparkle but I am not sure if it runs VOD since the free version doesnāt play movies. I want to give my family something easy to use that has minimal problems and a player they do not have to clear cache on without something like smarters which I feel is no where near as good as Tivimate but has its perks where cache donāt need to be cleaned.
I just ask this here because from here out all my firestick customers are going to be switching to the ONN 4k plus or pro and I wanna make sure it runs super smooth. I hope Iām not the only one with this problemā¦ I thought it was just me until I noticed it on Starlink and a super fast big city connection. Also this happens even when hardly any internet is being pulled.

This box has an incredible picture, I have the Buzz Powerstation 6 with 32gigs of RAM and it shocks me how close in performance live tv and VOD work on the ONN 4k plus compared to a $500 box lol! This ONN is a monster! Also I hate the screen saver on it and canāt seem to turn it off, I havenāt googled that or searched on it yet but it seems like a pain to turn off on the onn 4k plus!
Happy New Years Miki, Iām thinking of switching to an Onn 4Kmax from firestick. As a senior citizen, I know just enough to be dangerous! 
Iāve seen the tutorials Troy has posted. I have stayed away from google on every thing, email, search, etc, because of there tracking! Iāve not like them for years! Any advice to help me make the transition. I know you have more high tech set ups, this is in my budget! Or do you recommend another product. My tech skills arenāt what they were, way back, you gave me all the steps to install stremio on firestick, you did and I installed it, but couldnāt get any links. I have vpn, I use Kodi , can be confusing, real Debrid. Thanks TK
Oh no The Onn is a great starter device to learn on. Some stay with it. I am in the minority here cause I had one and personally think theyāre garbage, and please, I know my opinion is not in the majority, so there is no need to berate me if you think differently. With so many articles on TP and users using them, itās a great device for simplicity. Lots of ppl here to help you as well.
They are the new firestick cheap and easy to get, depending on where you live.
People talk down about the cheap Chinese boxes and then turn around and recommend a cheap Chines box in the Onn. It was my first Android box about a year ago and it is still used, not because it is great but because it has everything set up in it. But working on getting others set up.
@Tmkowalski it hard to beat the ONN products in the budget category. I would recommend spending the extra $10 for the ONN Plus. Troy has some great tutorials to get you up and running with this box. Just do a search on the Troypoint site. Plus there many folks, here on the Insider, that would be more than willing to help you get going.

I installed w proton.me acct, all set up, but there are no add ons or streams , and old TROYPOINT says App Store Stremio lite should be downloaded on iPad. App is gone. Do you how I can get streams? I am a tad confused about what you are asking. Torrentio with PM, RD & TB have had fixes over the weekend and I am getting tons of sources. If using Stremio, install Just Player and use it.
For apple I think people use Omni or I think infuse maybe?
Install how Miki and is there a video or steps? Iām stuck. My senior moments are getting more and more! I can only respond once a day!
