Nvidia Shield Update to 9.1.1

Gotcha…reason I asked is I’m considering turning off auto-update. Sounds like nothing needed in it. I thought Auro-3D competed against Atmos, etc and failed? Not sure.

the shield is not reconised as a 4k unit by directv stream and will not play the three directv stream 4k channels making the shield useless to me

Just saw the Nvidia Shield Tv pro is on sale at Best buy right now
for $179.99 if anyone was waiting for a discount.

Probably available from other places as well. Although Ididn’t see it on Amazon for that price.

Yep, BB has it for$180 but not Amazon or Nvidia Store. Which is unusual.

BB AND B&H Photo have Pro and mini(?) both on sale. $179.99 and $129.99.

I may go on ahead and get another Pro. I wouldn’t be surprised when the stock runs out. That will be it for the Shield Pros?

I love my Shield Pro with 4K and even upscaling of 1080, Atmos surround sound, HDR and HDR 10+. An awesome home theatre setup. Just have to learn how to tune it to get the most out of it. Certainly not for those who just want plug and go.

The impressive, AI-powered 4K upscaling feature of the 2019 Shield TV and Shield TV Pro will now work with 360p and 1440p content in addition to the 720p and 1080p resolutions that it supported before. (The Pro model can now upscale 60fps content, which should prove handy for sports.)
