I currently use Nvidia Shield Pro and Onn box 4k’s around the house. Yesterday (Sunday) stopped at a garage/yard sale. I found an Nvidia Shield TV tube for $15, I offered them $5, we settled at $7. Apparently, they were unsure what it is. Remote and everything in tact, just no box. Compared to the Pro, is the tube version as good minus less storage? I hear mixed emotions about it. Thanks
The Tube is a great device just minus 1 gb ram(I believe). Factory reset and you should have a great streamer at a real good price.

That’s the plan this evening. It was on a table with $15 marked on it. My heart began to race and my mouth got dry 
. When I offered the folks $5, they were kinda uncertain. I said “how do I know it even works?”. He said $7, I said deal. Lol.

I have a Tube, but it sits in my sock drawer. It’s not as good as the Pro, but for $7 bucks I’d buy a dozen. The Tube is still better than a lot of the so-called premium devices.

Btw, you can add storage to it with one of those micro cards. I think I have either a 256G or a 128G in mine.

Extra storage is sweet. I didn’t have time to read up in it, I never actually read the specs in the tube. I just new it was worth the $15, but I couldn’t resist to make a counter offer. I would if paid $15 for it, but it is what it is. 
You still havent mentioned if it actually does work properly or not. You asked the guy in barter, but that question seems legit with a Shield from a garage sale lol. Worth the $7 risk though.

After work yesterday I hooked the Shield up. The only things that were on it were Tubi, Crackle, Netflix, a Weather app and Tune In radio. I factory reset it (I wish I would’ve checked the last update tho). I installed my IPTV, Stremio and Plex. It appeared to work fine. I want to install Projectivy Launcher and a few more that I use.
