Nvidia shield ( Ethernet connected) two years old recently dramatically slowed down within Kodi Addon 21. Reinstalled 2 different Kodi’s … rebooted device multiple times; force stopped and cleared cache multiple times times… any suggestions?

Is all of Kodi slow or just the streaming?

If just steaming did you reset your router?

Yes, I have two iptv’s that are both working fine

Kodi from downloader… used 21

As info, using two shields one Ethernet connected and a satellite… same problem with both

Hown s the storage on the devices?

Not much else i can think of right now.

Have you searched on TP?

I wouldn’t rule it out but id wait to hear from someome who might be familiar with the issue.

I have an Nvidia and never had this issue so i will be keeping an eye in the replies in case it happens to me in the future.

Not sure what you mean by “0 added storage”. Just by downloading kodi you are using up storage.

My Nvidia shield tv pro has 12 GB of storage. 8.4GB is used but it is still running fine.

The 0 was to be a NO storage was added to the shield…a typo for sure

How much storage does your Nvidia have remaining?

You may be running low.

Is you Kodi build big and do you use a skin with widgets?
Also have you tried force closing running apps in the background?
I have seen users with a similar complaint on Reddit and Kodi forums.
Some mentioned factory reset, rolling back the firmware, disabling certain features and just using a basic setup on Kodi with standard skin and a couple of addons.
Obviously the more you add to a device the more resources it needs.
Apps custom launcher.

Another user asked the same question but didn’t seem to get a definitive answer. Nor did they say if how they fixed the issue.

I’m using a Kodi 21.1. No builds. I’ve have been adding crew, umbrella and Seren.
I’ve uninstalled everything and I’m back to Kodi 21.1.
Shield shows 7.6 GB available
