I know and just for the heck of it I made sure I am signed into all 4 google accounts on here. So going to try a US VPN just to play around.
Yes, I get that “Bot” bs when I try to watch stuff on SmartTube. I refuse to do that sign in on my TV but do have my desktop signed in. TizenTube has a “guest” option that will not require a sign in. Also Brave browser doesn’t require a sign in but it seems to only work on IOS systems..
Anybody had issues using the the 2019 Shield Pro as a streamer from a Synology NAS? Both connected to the same network (NAS is wired, Shield is WiFi) and play a video file for 2-3 min and then kicks out. Onn box connected in the same way to the same TV works fine, as does a firestick. I’m hopeful its just a setting somewhere but darned if I can find it.
I finally got to watch it. Just had to switch VPN servers and I was G2G. Now for the sad part. Really? Honestly ppl this is old news and I mean old, well old in tech terms. Not sure where I originally got all this Info, but I think it was GitHub or TDUK Either way I checked these changes and I did all this following a vid tutorial in Jan 2025. But oh wow, I got to watch it.

Old news for us old folks lol…
Well, I tried a factory reset, tried both 32 and 64 bit versions of Kodi, still the same. I saw some references from about 3 years ago on reddit to possible overheating as a cause (dust, thermal paste failures) but these appeared to be only on older boxes - mine is only 2 months old.
I’m trying “Optimized” vs “Performance” and “Cool” vs “Quiet” settings and I’ll give it another go.
Anyone else having an issue where the Shield won’t stay Dolby enabled? I enable it. It resets, comes back still disabled. Was working fine a week ago
@teehar
I’m probably too old as I missed the memo on this. ![]()
Just to be certain I did log into my google account and double check, sure enough I had already disabled the ones I needed. But thanks for the reminder JerryJ ![]()
