I get asked for a NV Video player which I can get and is recommended for streaming but it has a lot of comercials. Any suggestions?
Not entirely sure what you are asking. Most of us use MX Player Pro or VLC.
mx player / vlc player are good

I tend to stear clear of any app that ties me into a specific player. Just indicates ad kickbacks or click payments.

i agree with @Miki most apps give you a choice of player
like @pirate77 said, what APP and what show? We may be able to give you suggestions for options.
I am not sure if I can mention it in here. Not sure if I can say the TV show, the app I got thru this service. No player offered for the particular app.

have you gone to setting in the app to change the player you need to download the players first ie mx or vlc
from what i can see the latest app you have forces you to use that player i would download an earlier version
