Currently have the new Amazon Echo Studio and Sub connected as a home theater thru my fire tv 4K max. After connecting to my VPN and watching content thru services like Cinema HD, when I return to my fire stick to watch normal content the sound is no longer there and I have to reconnect the speakers. This is very annoying and suggestions on how to end this?
Its very unlikely the vpn is causing the drop of audio but nothing is impossible.
Check all your cords and software along with setup and try different playeds and apps. Process of elimination.
I’m trying to think what may cause your issue but I’m stuck on “Normal Content”. What exactly do you mean and what app or player are you using for “Normal Content”. Tx.
Normal content meaning YouTube TV, Disney+ or anything that I wouldn’t use a VPN to watch. Seems to happen when I connect to my VPN to watch stuff sound is fine then when I disconnect from the VPN to use YouTube TV no sound……
Ok. That’s a start, one last question. Which VPN? I agree with @TP-Dracoo it’s unlikely to be your VPN but I will do some research for you once I know which vpn. tx.
You dont need a vpn with those paid apps, split tunnel them and the issues should fix.
IPVanish… I know I don’t need a vpn for YouTube TV etc. I don’t use the VPN often to watch movies so it is mostly disconnect while using YouTube TV etc. But when I do connect and watch movies thru apps that a VPN is needed when I disconnect from the VPN and close out the app ther is no sound when I go back to watch normal TV.
@TP-Dracoo gave you the solution I believe. Leave your VPN on and split tunnel your paid apps. Give it a try.
