Walmart isn’t done surprising cord-cutters this year as a new Onn 4K Streaming Stick has been leaked. This comes just days after images of the Onn 4K Pro V2 surfaced online. hi, any idea when they will be releasing the onn 4k for us poor folk across the pond in the uk,
I don’t know if they will but a popular alternative for UK is the Thomson Android TV Box which seems to be almost identical to the one here in USA.
- Thomson Streaming Box 260 PRO: An upcoming model featuring a significant 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage configuration with the Amlogic S905X5M-B chipset. However, it notably lacks Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support, relying on Wi-Fi 5 and an HDMI 2.0 port instead of the newer standards found in the 270 model.
I just received notification that the 4K Stick is landing on shelves today.
I have a few onn 4k plus devices but my friend just has the $19.98 stick version. I am guessing that one isn’t capable of side loading, correct? Or what about adding the smarters pro for her to use with an IPTV account?
@Ballin2041 ….why just guess, give it try, you may be surprized by the results….![]()
You can sideload the older stick just fine. It’s about as fast as a 1st gen Amazon 4k stick.
It is capable.
Thanks. I was wondering because I only hear people always talking about the plus and pro. Is it because it’s only HD and not 4k or something? Is that why no one recommend that even though it’s cheaper than the plus?
I think most people will spend the extra few dollars for a much better box and that’s why you don’t hear much about the stick.
