I’m with you Jerry!! lol. I turned off google updates in settings but not sure if that really does anything. Cheers!:beer_mug:

last time I updated something crashed my ONN. so don’t know about this. and the fix for my firestick wouldn’t work and I guessing because. verizon sets different IP addresses for all my devices

I’ve got a TCL TV with the Google OS. I turned all my updates off. I like it the way it is now - no glitches… user friendly… etc. I’ll just keep it simple. Thanks Google but no thanks :head_shaking_horizontally:.

Hi Troy,

First, let me say how much I really enjoy all your articles and tutorials. It’s thanks to you that I finally cut the cord several months ago… and am so glad I did!

I’ve been trying to update my onn 4k pro with this new update since reading the article. However, every time I check for updates, it comes back that my device is up to date!

Why do you think this is happening? Is there a delay on the rollout where Google is rolling it out in “batches”?

Same here for the Onn Pro. It most likely is just a rollout in batches.

I got the update a few weeks ago. IMO you are not missing anything. Unless I’m missing something there is no new functionality. All they did was change the menu bar and it’s barely even noticable

Damn, my nvidia tv [tube] was running like a pig so I factory reset it and it booted into the bloody google update, it runs so much better, and I use ATV anyway.

Just hoping that there’ll be a workaround like for the FS

It’s now been almost a month and still no Google TV update on my onn 4k pro. I’m wondering if there’s something I need to do to the onn 4k pro. I’d hate to do a factory reset… but if that’s keeping my system from updating, I may have to.

Anyone else having this issue still?

@DocCJ….are you sure you’re missing out on anything by no update?….my Onn 4kPro updated a short while back and :person_shrugging: no noticable difference so ….

I still haven’t gotten the update yet and I’m not worried. It will come one day and I’ll probably not even notice. Lol

Have had the ONN 4K Pro for a few years now and have received a few updates. Android 14, maybe a few remote updates. Nothing noticiable. Don’t worry about it you are not missing anything
