FYI, I just purchased this new Firestick on my current one for $25 off. They offered this upgrade on one of the ads that scrolls at the top of the main screen.
Thanks for all you do I just got rid of my cable company , phone, internet, cable. T-Mobile is my internet service and I hope I have it set up properly? I speed was a bit faster
Once again @TROYPOINmany Thanks to you for the overview. Appreciate all you do. Especially since you have moved on to other devices for you to take the time to show us this device. I remember when this one seemed so complicated. Of course I heard you what you moved on to and my thoughts are are those complicated? Are they better? I am sure you have tutor videos for them and with you explaining they seem easier. Thank you for all you do!
Great work. Looking forward to updates as they come along. Everything worked perfect as in video.
Hello @jbfort83 the Android TV/Google TV systems allow for more customization such as 3rd party launchers. The setup is very similar as all you are doing is using Downloader just like we do on Fire TV devices.
My video on the following page would be a good place to start to see how this differs.
Thank you @TROYPOINT Just what I needed. I will look into this.
I won’t be buying the latest Firestick TV from Amazon. I’m going to start using my LG TV Amazon app going forward.
Thanks for the info, Troy. No need for external storage with these new 16GBers. Just a thought re Dev Options… I’m sure if they didn’t want general users to be able to access DevOp they would lock it out with some encryption so their developers still have access… my thinking is that they sell WAY more of these to users like us because of the ability to sideload apps that they would be shooting themselves in the foot if they completely blocked it. I’m sure that most have Prime subscriptions so no loss to them.
Once again to echo the many insiders Thanks Troy. Finally a decent amount of internal storage have waited a long time for that. Unfortunately they are a little late for me time to move on.I am moving on to the shield mostly based on reviews and comments by many insiders.
Unfortuneately I can’t hear your video. It would be benifitual to have CC1, closed captions on your videos.
He speaks very clearly. If you had another device with Google assist or some voice text option it would probably pick it up for you and you’d be able to read it. My tablet will pick up the TV from 10 feet away. He used to screenshot his videos and it be written instructions.
I’m waiting for “The Max” to show up in a few days.
I have the video shield and I have the fire stick set up With T-Mobile Internet service I am streaming everything just fine Internet speed is over 150 and I have real- Debrid . I have Kodi with the crew, add-on, and Fen are working great . I fired Metronet And went cordless .
Thank you Troy for all the info you share with the people. If it wasn’t for the info that you research on behalf of your members, I probably wouldn’t use any Android TV device. You are second to none and again, I thank you. Respectfully Lonnie
