Trying to find help for install issues with youtube revanced but there seems to be no one replying to what people have have posted about their issues. I can’t get it installed on my Samsung Galaxy A13 running android 13 or my android 12 tablet but did get it installed on my husband’s Samsung Galaxy A23 running android 13. It makes no sense to me. Both my phone and tablet get to the packets but only 7 of them come up (not the many that should be available). Then it aborts. Seems there are quite a few of us having these aborting install issues and are coming here for answers or help but not really getting any helpful replies. I’m not being ugly, I promise. I am grateful for all of Troypoint’s helpful people. So I guess what I am asking is, "Is there somewhere else to go for answers for this particular issue or is it that no one knows why these issues are happening, etc… Help help help. This issue is making me feel stupid as I have not been able to figure out why it’s not installing on my 2 different devices but I did get it installed on my husband’s. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
You could try downloading from liteapks.com. It works well but just remember to download revanced micro g first. Everything to download is on the revanced page…

@roxanne562001 Hello, I tried what was suggested and it didn’t work either. Also to make matters worse it stopped working on my husband’s Samsung Galaxy A32 and it won’t reinstall. So now, not only can I not install it on my Samsung Galaxy A13 5G, my Teclast P20S Tablet, but now wont install on my husband’s phone. Originally I had it installed on my tablet and my husband’s phone, but was never able to install it on my phone. But I had my tablet replaced with the exact same tablet and could not get it installed again (weird and tried 5 different times) and it quit on my husband’s phone and couldn’t reinstall it (also tried 3-4 times). So after all that I gave up. I think there is something going on with the apks, as they did work on some but now seems they aren’t working for most.
Did you try downloading the 2 apks needed to run revanced from Troy’s toolbox? Be sure to get both APKs.
I also recommend clicking on the “Tutorial” link and watching everything from both APKs.

They are continually pushing out updates and we keep those updated in our Toolbox. You may want to look into NewPipe if you don’t want to hassle with the constant updates. Easier to use.
I will put out a tutorial on this soon.
I love newpipe. At least on my phone for playing music in the background with my screen off. And it will actually notify you when an update is available instead of making you look it up.
I got it working by following these instructions
Follow Troys instructions up to installing the patched youtube version.
- Install YouTube APK 18.23.35 from apkmirror https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/youtube/youtube-18-23-35-release/ . Don’t use the YT APK in the Toolbox.
2 install MicroG from the tool box.
- Install Revanced MGR from Troypoint Toolbox, but immediately update it to version 1.8.0, within the app.When you do the Patch installation, YT APK 18.23.35 should have 53 patches recognized, and 52 actually get applied.
It should work for non-rooted phones.
The problem is getting the right youtube patch from apk mirror I wish Troy would post the APK 18.23.35 on the toolbox. I had to manually select the 53 patches it then installed with out issue.
Your solution worked on my Pixel 6a with no problem. Initially Revanced showed only 7 patches selected, but after I clicked on default and then patch, it selected 50. Then it installed the patched YouTube app successfully.
Originally I was getting the “no install without root” error no matter how often I rebooted and reached. Thank you!

smartube and smartube beta work way better than revanced and are a lot easier to install plus the dev updates them regularly…so impressed with them that i donate to the dev on a regular basis
you should give them a try
to update…use the back button on your remote while on the homescreen (lil house at the top)…go to settings…about … check for updates…install update..and your done…i usually do this before searching for content and quess what? there’s almost always an update..working great for several yrs but peeps don’t check for updates and wonder why it isn’t working after awhile? google is on to him but can’t seem to stop this dev? like i said i send 5bucks or so every few months thru paypal because his app is awesome!
