I am having a frustrating and mysterious (to me anyway) problem. I have been successfully using a firestick 4k on my tv for quite some time. However, several months ago, it began to run slower and slower. got so bad that it won’t open apps and is virtually unusable. When the new Onn device came out I bought one and up until the last several days it has worked very well. Now it has started to have the same issues as my firestick. Runs extremely slow, won’t connect Bee tv, Cinema, or any other apps. If I do a hard stop on the app, I am trying to start, restart surfshark and then unplug and restart the Onn it will run correctly until I try to change to another app, then the whole thing starts over. running the apps without Surfshark doesn’t help. My internet connection is strong and quite fast. Does anyone know what is going on? I am also using real debrid
Sounds like you could benefit from SDMaid and/or TDUK’s app killer. Cleans and streamlines the device to eliminate that slow/laggy feeling.
Do as AMD suggested.
Also, go through and delete the cache on each app on the Firestick.
There’s a place in the settings of the ONN to clear all the cache at once.
To be honest, and as much of a PITA as it is, with the small cheaper devices it helps to do a factory reset occasionally and just set up the device again.
Just do your maintenance on your device and it will run good for a long time.

Seconded. I do this every 6-12 months (and I have a lot of firesticks!)
The upside about resetting a few times is that you become more expert in setting up the devices.
