My Last Try At Wolf Launcher

The same guys who came up with the rest of the work arounds for Amazon blocking launchers developed this method so I would assume it works since the rest of them has worked and no one has said it didn’t work for them so I guess it still works and they are working on the work arounds for Amazon os8 but the new way is a hassle and without updates how long will a device last without having issues IDK so I’m done trying to customize I just use Android boxes

The developers in XDA forums? If they found a 100% fix, it must be new because as of a month or two ago, nothing worked permanently. Hope you are right. Everytime I see a new method, I get my ol’ retired Max out and give it a whirl…always to be disappointed it doesn’t stick lol.

I’ve gotten all the work arounds from TDUK and AFTVnews they are always the ones I see it from first especially AFTVnews he’s always the first I see with full step by step tutorials and TDUK too I know AFTVnews has it and it works no report of it not working and everything from these two have always worked never failed me yet for years these have been my go to

But I don’t think it’s worth it I don’t think this process is reversible if I’m remembering correctly but it should be on AFTVnews website and TDUK website and YouTube channel if you’re interested

Thanks, I’ll give that a try.

Thanks, Most everything I’ve tried from the videos work to perfection. This Wolf Launcher is the only one that has not. I’m sure it would if Amazon didn’t block it.

Amazon doesn’t block Wolf Launcher, they block Launcher Manager. You can still use Launch on Boot to boot to Wolf. Just so there is no confusion.

now this is the most recent method of using wolf launcher through launch manager. How to Install a Custom Launcher like Wolf Launcher on Fire TV, Firestick, or Cube — New July 2023 “Forever Loop” Method | AFTVnews
may not work now but it’s the last known method known to work and I think amazon updated to stop this so I don’t think its a current method working IDK I quit trying to customize amazon devices a while ago. Don’t think custom launchers work at all anymore. I love the Nvidia shield and onn boxes. only amazon devices I like are the smart tvs they are so cheap and have HDR and Dolby Vision

Everyone has different tastes which is great. Some folks love custom wallpapers–I don’t. I got the new firestick 4k max gen 2 and found it easier to just use projectivy launcher. You don’t need launcher-manager and it has been flawless for me. I do one click from the amazon home page to projectivy launcher and done. It looks about the same as Wolf did. You can get it free from the developer on github. Since I don’t crave wallpapers and have little access to Google playstore I just got the free version–but the developer updates it quite often.

Launch on Boot Works, Thanks! Now if I could find an easy way to back out of it (back button doesn’t work), to get to FireTv Cube settings, It would be perfect.

If you long press the home button you should be able to bring up a screen with options. Settings being one of those if that helps.

Thanks, that is what I’m doing. I thought there might be a one-button solution.

You could download a settings icon from here that will work.

I was not happy with Launch Manager. However, as some other people stated, all I do - Most of the time I start my session by clicking Wolf Launcher. It is rock solid!
