Do no have Security & restrictions under Device preferences on my MECOOL K2
Sorry what is this in reference to? If this is about disabling play protect that isnāt how itās done. Follow the link I provided and read up what Troy posted.
You sen the TROYPOINT: Tech Tutorials On Firestick, Kodi, Android TV Box, VPN, IPTV,ā¦ ā 1 Feb 24 and I folowed the instructions but under Device Preferences Security & restrictions is not there as shown in the Tutorial.
Did you not keep scrolling and see that there are 2 methods?
Iāll give you yet a third way.
Open the google play store on your device, scroll up to the top right and highlight your avitar circle pic, click down once on your direction ring. This brings the cursor focus to Manage apps & games giving it a white background, click down once more to now place the focus on Play Protect and on the right you should see āScan apps with play protectā and āImprove harmful app detectionā. Disable both and back out of it and youāre done.
I did that, then deleted downloader, restarted the mecool k2, re-installed the downloader and troypoint toolbox. Tried to install MX Player and got the same message.
BTW, when I went to reinstall the downloader, Verified by Play Protect was indicated.
I havenāt any idea what to tell ya. There is obviously some setting or app on your device blocking access. Iāve tried it using downloader and chrome and every way I can try it downloads just fine for me. Turn off your ad blocker if you have one active. Just a guess. I never use one.
Are there any reported problems with MECOOL K2

Your MeCool KM2 āblanks out all the timeā . This may be a new topic but before going there can you elaborate please. What exactly do you mean blanks out? Does this happen when using a certain app? What steps do you take to get back to a useable condition? With all your issues have you attempted a scan for spyware/adware/malware? Have you considered a factory reset? Is it up to date? Is it overheating? Is your power source consistent? As you can see, there are far to many options without knowing accurate details.

Every time I try to dl mx player from TROYPOINT app I get this error. I have turned the vpn off and it still wonāt go. I tried using the dl code directly and the it said the version I dl is not compatible with my device shield and or a file is corrupt i. My system. I dl it from google play store but that is a pia. Why is this happening.
Side note second problem. On my other onn 4k box 20.00 version it will dl but I go to play a movie in cinema and there is no sound. No matter what Every time I have to go up and hit hw + decoder. Also the sound is always very low. Please help.

Not sure why you are having issues. Downloaded just fine for me.

Try clearing your browser cache or try a complete power cycle on your Modem and Device. Shut the power off on the modem and even remove the power from you Streamer for a couple of minutes. Restart the modem and wait for it to complete itās startup cycle, then plug your streamer back in and restart. This should clear everything and give you a fresh start.
Try rebooting router and shield. I quit using cinema in lieu of Stremio and never looking back. Cinema has been hacked together since orig devs stopped updating.
So I restarted my modem first then my shield. Mx player is the only thing in TROYPOINT toolbox that refuses to download. So frustrating. I havenāt included it in split tunneling either. I leave it out. Could it be it detects my surfshark is on anyways ? I always did it before. Not sure whatās happening. .
Ok so I literally just turned off the vpn entirely anfter I sent the reply and it worked. Should not have to do this. What a pia. I even left the file in the files section of dl to have for next time. God forbid. Should I be including downloader in the split tunneled apps ? Or do I leave it out? I put anything that I have dl non google play permitted in the tunnel. Sorry so many questions. Lastly, I have cinema at my parents on the onn 4k box cheap one and keep having issues with sound in cinema with and without ads and I have the add blocker on in surfshark and they still come in! So I tried bee tv with the recommended player, I am not getting my premiumize links in there at all despite waiting so I keep going back to old reliable cinema. I have syncler at my house. Can I put it on theirs two different ip address with my premiumize?

This has been a known issue with surshark. For some reason you need to turn off the āSafe webā setting if you want to leave the VPN on, or turn it off, download an APK, and once done turn it back on.

Hi I have the same problem with my MX in cinema what I do is every time I use it I go to MX and for stop it so I can use my MX player again and that seems to work for me but itās a pain in the ass
