I am after some advice for multimedia players and if anyone can suggest a suitable replacement for the one that I have.
It is an old (2012) model and been very good until recently, where it will not progress beyond the welcome screen. It is a BlueEye V9T2 model by Noontec.
I am unable to find anything with the same specifications.
Is anyone able to offer advice in this area?
Welcome. Looks like that was discontinued. What are you needing a dvr?
Preferably a multimedia player with similar specifications to the BlueEye V9T3 and plays all types of media formats. Also a preference to have a sata hdd facility so that the movies on my hdd can be played at any time. I am aware that this is discontinued but I am unable to find a suitable replacement.
look at the zidoo brand. I believe its similar theres a z9 and a z10 that are the most popular but they have others.
Amazon.com : zidoo
Amazon.com : zidoo
Thank you for the advice. I will head on over to Amazon and check them out.
Modulus M1
Modulus M2👑
For me it’s the best, nothing beats it but it’s overly expensive, you can stick with Zidoo if you can’t afford
The very latest is the Modulus M2.

The cheapest route for a home server is a mini pc and a samba server setup(what I use) or android. Various combinations can be used all depending on what you want to do.
The old BlueEye V9T2 was brilliant and I operated it daily and with Samba. However, I have no idea what I did to get that facility to work and with the changes of wifi and nbn, I am struggling to remember what to do again. Old age sucks. Thanks for all the input guys. Very much appreciated.
Welcome bud. I am sure everything will work out fine
If you can figure samba out its pretty easy to make your own media player/transcoder. Most all pc’s have the ability to transcode and thats the heavy lifting if thats what you need. I use a mini pc that I installed linuxmint and to make samba a little easier I installed mxlinux version of samba(a big time saver). With that you need storage and so I attached a high speed external 5 tb druve via usb 3.1. For software I use both emby(premier) and ChannelsDVR and I even record from tivimate to the same storage. My media is availiable to any player I want but tivimate is more finicky and plays its own recordings best however emby will play whatever I throw at it. Many choices out there.
