The mouse toggle functionality stopped working after i updated the Chromecast with Google Tv to the new Android 12.
The mouse pointer pops out when i long press the mute button and that’s where it ends. No selection, no scrolling.
I have 2 devices at home and the other one that have not been updated is still working fine.
What can be done to fix this?
Make sure you go into settings>accessibility>enable/on mouse toggle
Maybe the update reset your mouse and you need to turn on and set permissions again?
I had the same issue on my nVidia using Mouse Toggle when the last big update came along.

Done all of these and still the mouse isn’t working…
The mouse on my Chromecast with Google tv in the living room is still functioning and I’ve refused to update it to Android 12 because of the fear of also losing the mouse toggle functionality.
I will only update it if a solution is found.
When nVidia pushed out the last Android 11 update this caused a whole lot of grief for a bunch of folks, including me! My Mouse Toggle also failed to work properly. It to several emails, researching, updates and time before the that issue was finally resolved. Although, I must give credit to nVidia for responding and coming up with fixes to get it back up and running. Nvidia has a much more powerful voice when they speak to developers!
So be patient and send out a few queries to people you feel may be able to address your issue directly. I would first try contacting the Mouse Toggle developer and explain your issue.
