Can it be pared to tv so it controls power and volume, like the newer FS 4k will

Good question. If the remote has a ir sensor it will detect your tv and work. (most remotes do but not all box remotes have this function)
The best way to find out is to point it at your tv and it should auto detect and work. If it does not then no. This wasent as helpful as i thought. DO you have have the remote? try it.
Don’t have one yet. Looking for answers before I order one. Could be a deal breaker for the wife.
Understood i didnt find much info on this. maybe someone who owns one can chime in. I agree it does help.
When doing initial set up it asks if you want to set up to TV.
I skipped it and didn’t try
