Seems my homescreen menu, which was at top of screen has now me bed to the left side of screen in vertical position. What happened and can I change this?

I found the mecool home screen layout to change often but I believe it was more of an android issue maybe with updates etc… That issue was resolved with updates off and Wolf Launcher.
I did restart and it stayed the same.
This morning the screen is back to norm. So whatever happened to it , is now fixed.
