Malware alert from my router

I use an onn box on one tv and a km6 on another tv. They are connected via Wi-Fi to my netgear router. Last night at 2am, with both of these boxes supposedly off, my router security blocked a “malware attempt” by an AMPAK TECHNOLOGY device which was trying to link to a website called dumuzhou I scanned the internet and was not able to figure which box did this or what the website is about. Any ideas welcomed. Perhaps a warning as well.

Get a malware program and do a scan of both boxes. Use it on all devices. Also do the scan with the internet off.

Will do. I have since figured out, with certainty, that the Ampak device that did this was the km6.

You can check the router logs, dig down and find it.

I would bet that was a false positive by the router software and actually great that it caught it. Mecool and most any other box will “phone home” to check for updates and I wouldnt be too alarmed. Actually if you check router logs you might be scared to death at registered attempts to breach the system.
