I recently reset my laptop after I couldn’t create a restore point. When it booted up to my login screen, I put in my pin as usual only to find out it said incorrect. I’ve tried everything except for geek squad support 
. Can anyone help me?
Is this a windows PC? If so have you gone to the Microsoft site and tried logging in to your account and choose forgot password? That’s all I got for this
maybe if you can start in safe mode then run system restore might work also you may be able to reinstall windows keeping your files intact that will be in the windows control panel
You must have restored the PC back to before you put in the new password. Yeah looks like a $199 geek squad payment.
or worst solution do a fresh install
What version of windows do you have?
I can’t even do that. F8 not an option.

if you cant get it to boot from win disc or usb ime lost sorry hope someone can help further good luck

Stupid question but if you reset your laptop, did you try to leave the password blank and just hit enter?
I’m sure you tried it but just in case. Just trying an easy solution before you go to the Geeks.
Use another computer to download and register “PCUnlocker”. It creates a bootable USB drive. Once booted, it allows a user to remove any existing passwords. When finished, your laptop will boot normally without the need of a password. Go into Control Panel —> User Management to set up a new password if desired. Registration for the basic version is $20 and the “professional” is $30. Works like a charm!
