I had always ridden Honda motorcycles. But I got a bug to get a Triumph bike. I found a used one at a dealer very close to my house. The salesman asked me if I wanted to try it out.
He instructed me on how English motorcycles had the shifter/clutch on the opposite side from the Honda bikes. So I’m tooling along on a dirt road behind the dealer and came to a sharp right turn with an obstructed view. Two cars were stopped and drivers chatting. I panicked and went to hit the the rear brake which wasn’t on the side I was accustomed too. So I really panicked then. What do you do but crank down on the front brake. You can guess the rest but it wasn’t pretty.
