Launcher manager issue on fire stick 4K

I am able to download and install launcher manager from Troys toolbox. It works well, but when I turn the TV off and come back the next day, launcher manager is gone from the fire stick and needs to be reinstalled. Anybody else with this issue?

Hello @Kdad

You need the updated app.

See this.

I am absolutely appalled that Amazon can literally uninstall Launcher Manager off of a device. Wake up this morning, turned on my Max on the porch and LM is gone. This is absolutely frustrating, horrifying and borderline legal, one would hope. Them blocking a program from working is one thing, but actually making it disappear I feel like is the last straw.

I agree! What if the app is one you paid for? Will Amazon reimburse you for your purchase?

Just another reason to stay away from everything Bezos.

The updated launcher is now being uninstalled by Amazon. Every morning it’s gone. Can reinstall it for a day and then it’s gone again. Amazon sucks.

I just put Projectivy Launcher on a customers Firestick this morning and its working a treat. No need for Launcher Manager !!!

I’ve been using App Opener and Wolf Launcher on my Pioneer FireTV for about 3 months now. All updates are installed.

I’ve tried to install ProjectIvy on Firesticks before, and it never autostarted. I’ll have to give it another try.

Im just using App Opener to launch as My TV has all updates installed.

I did a fresh setup of an brand new Firestick 4k Max yesterday. Before all Amazon updates were installed I had about 5 apk’s with dead icons. They did work. After installing all updates all icons were showing correctly and still working.

Im trying to remember but I believe they were:

Fast Task Killer
Proton VPN
MagellanTV
MiXplorer
Wireless File Manager

Cheers

I just installed Launch on Boot and set Wolf Launcher to start. Rebooted and waited till my VPN Monitor Dot started and any other start up apps. Wolf Launcher started. My Pioneer FireTV does have all updates available installed. So Im sure Projectivity Launcher will work to.

Cheers

Launch on Boot does work, and is an okay substitute. But it doesn’t allow the home button to work and sometimes delays booting up the launcher. I still don’t understand why Amazon cares so much about us changing the default launcher, confused why they would take the effort to play this cat and mouse game. They have to know at most I am one click away from not seeing their home launcher trash, and would never click on any of it.

Launcher Manager removed again today, even after the latest update. Launch on boot is still working.

Amazon has made it quite clear, changing the launcher removes their “Home” screen and thus their advertising. This in turn affects their revenue. This, they claim, has resulted in the Firesticks becoming more expensive. So they are “protecting” their ad revenue stream, and “helping” us by keeping the cost of Firesticks down. lololololol. Sorry but I find their claims amusing. Someone once said that Amazon should increase their price and remove the ads. All I have to say is advertising income is huge.

Every tech policy ever. No company is there for you period.
