I finally stopped the premium channels on Directv. I have a basic plan but added the Lakers and Sportsnet. They said the Lakers channel will be $12.99 a month. I was OK with that even though it use to be $3.00 a month. BUT, then they said I also have to pay $12.99 for “regional sports” When I asked what that was they said the Lakers …I said I’m already paying for the Lakers. I was told in order to have the Lakers and Sportsnet I need to pay for both services.
So, my question is are there any addons for Stremio that will allow me not only to watch Lakers games, but also get Sportsnet to watch the pre-games and post-games.
Stremio is a VOD system, you are looking for live tv. As @Sledgehammer said, you will need to look into IPTV to gain access to live sporting events. There is a way to get free streams through Kodi, Sportsfire app or some streaming websites, but IPTV will be your most reliable bet. 12+ Best IPTV Services in October 2023 (Working)
Many thanks for the info …I have stayed away from IPTV as they seem to always shut down. Ant recommendations on one for Stremio? Need one that gets Sportsnet network.
Hey everyone. Stremio has a bunch of addons for live TV. Yes movies and series are VOD but Stremio also does IPTV. I personally have never tried it as I have TiViMate Premium and that is superior IMHO.
Have you tried the Sportsfire app? This is regularly seen as the goto app for live sports. I can’t access it just now but I would be surprised if it did not stream the sports or sports channel you want to watch. In my experience it plays well with little or no buffering.
Stremio might have them available just like Kodi, but I don’t believe free stuff is dependable for premium sports. Others may disagree, but I don’t recommend it myself.
I have e-mailed Sportsfire to see if they have Sportsnet… if they do, it’s worth a try. But as stated above, live sports may be a problem on IPTV. I just think it’s a ripoff to pay for regional sports as well as the Lakers channel on DirecTV
Oh I’m in total agreement with you @AMD237 . I know it’s available but when it’s not a main focus of an app, but just an addon, I will stick with the Tivimate player. Not even sure how it works at all with the addons. I just know it’s an option like in Kodi.
Cannot mention any type of unverified service on this category. Only on IPTV services category can it be discussed. You must be a patron to be able to access IPTV services.
