Kodi vs APKs vs Torrents - What's Your Favorite? (TROYPOINT Poll)

I see your point but storage space has never been a major issue for me.

I use use kodi 90% of the time in my device. I have some other streaming apps but really dont use them since i can get them on kodi anyway. Yes Live TV is iffy but it dont cost anything either so i won’t complain.

I guess until i have a reason to stop ill keep using the build. It gives me many options and meets my needs.

Builds are only an issue for those using Sticks or a Box with space constraints. I’ve used the same Builds for over 5 years on T95Z Plus with 32GB Storage. Zero issues with space and no laggy issues. Too many here say “Don’t use Builds” because there are soooo many posts that say this. You need to have the proper device and find a Dev that cares. Agree with Live TV on KODI Sucks. IPTV for Live TV

I think the space issue is something so many latched onto because of the past popularity of the Firesticks. I have seen this issue dimishing with the plethora of 4GB Ram and 32 GB eMMC storage devices, not to mention much faster CPUs and GPUs as well as combined ones. I see members here like @MarkxG & @JPM69 giving great posts regarding Kodi. Listen and learn ppl, it works, and seems to be once again growing in popularity. Just look at the poll and see Kodi has edged ahead of everything else.
Have fun and STREAM ON!!!

totaly agree with @Miki and@ MarkxG builds on sticks use so much space when you only have 5gb so problems can happen other devices with more space no probem

I agree with you.
But I would guess most people in the Troypoint Universe are using cheap devices with limited memory.

If I was still user of a Firestick with no expanded capabilities, I’d probably vote APK because Weyd is very light weight.

Isn’t Weyd a paid subscription service?

This explains it.

Yes, but it’s cheap and works very well.

I never discount anything anyone says, I value everyone’s opinion, if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be here. I’m always learning something new from the people on here. If I’m bored, I’ll get an old Firestick, do a factory reset and see what nice looking Kodi builds are out there, install, then spend the rest of the day “Tweaking” it. Then use it a few days. I usually get tired of it taking 4ever to boot, Kodi was all I knew. Then I ran across Troypoint and found Kodi builds. I did like how nice and organized they looked & worked. I found APKs easier to install Real-Debrid & how quickly I’m watching a movie or TV show. It’s all personal likes & priorities. All I know is I’ve saved Thousands of $$$$$$$$$ over the past 6yrs, not paying for Cable TV. Cheers.

Absolutely. I never discount a thing that ppl say. Way to many variables in this hobby to do that. The most important thing is, no matter what you’re doing, or trying is, HAVE FUN AND STREAM ON!!!

Yes but so is Stremio no wait, It’s free and works amazing.

I have had Stremio for a very long time. I have it for the very hard movies to find. For me, it’s simple, Lots of Add-ons.

KODI has been my use for years. Easy set up

KODI for the win, wait, until you try Stremio then you delete Kodi reclaim back your device memory and stream away.

lots of probs with kodi. lack of links, no stream available, surfshark causes me probs on many sites maybe kodi also. Loaded superman from here on 20. and few links or no stream available

Been using KODI for 6 years No VPN. currently using Homelander and The Crew on 20.5 with RD + Trakt. Working flawlessly. Whatever issues you are having with KODI it’s on your end

I have been using Kodi for years and have The Crew with real-debrid/traktv as well as Umbrella for add-ons. I also use a couple apks,
Stremio and BeeTv. All working great! I would say I use Kodi the most though.

Ya Mark, you are correct. The problem is on my side. I am not willing to pay for RD. I miss all the fun I had during the Dave and Charlie days. I have many other resources to watch TV. Likewise, I also used Kodi without VPN for years. Now with Kodi20.5 and the crew I get maybe 1 link with pop up “no stream available” where there used to be sometimes over 100.
