Kodi version 19.5?

Just got a Kodi pop up that said a 19.5 stable was available. Anyone know anything about that?

I got same message will look at other forums also

It’s right on the official Kodi website. Why in the world would you need to go to another forum? The release probably just has bug fixes.

Just odd that 19.5 would come out when 20.0 is supposedly near.

I’ll wait for the 20.0 Nexus version, and see what happens…

From Kodi’s Website:
Kodi release 19.5 caps off the v19 Matrix development cycle - we are not intending anything further now until 20.0 “Nexus”.

Without further fanfare, then I give you Kodi “Matrix” 19.5: more bug fixes, some backports, no real new features. Full changelog since 19.4 on Github, as usual.

Thanks, as always, to everyone who has helped us track down and fix any issues.

As this is a point release, there are no major changes since the previous version, and you should be fine to install this straight over the top of any existing Kodi 19.x installation - indeed, this will happen automatically on many platforms. However, as for all software installations, back up your userdata beforehand if you’ve any doubts or have anything you can’t afford to lose (and definitely do this if you’re going for a major version upgrade).

Suggests 20.0 isn’t particularly close to release.

So you think 19.5 would mess up my addons?
The description implies it will not, but I’m very hesitant.

I have just updated a 4k Max, an ONN, and a 2nd Gen Cube with no issues.
However a back up is always prudent prior to updating just in case.

Loaded 19.5 over the top of 19.4 on my FS.
No issues so far.

I would appreciate it if someone could post the downloader code for Kodi 19.5 or point me in the right direction where I can find it.

Thanks

Yes i had same pop up, but 19.4 working great for me.

I used downloader:

19.5 is there, just select your operating system.
Once the download is completed, a popup will ask if want to install the update.

Guys… I think there’s no new changes… I think this should be fine to install :man_facepalming:t2:

Can you reply to anyone without the snarky comments. You may be a Mr. Know-it-all but this is a forum for people to ask questions & post various things, possibly dealt with earlier. Maybe they should search but not everyone is computer savvy or know the proper way of doing things to your standards!!

You have replied to some of my posts in a tone/way that I didn’t appreciate. Keep your condescending replies to yourself please - they are not appreciated. Ever hear “if you have nothing to say, don’t say it at all”??!

Thank you very much!

Jayhawks659, when there is the stable release of Kodi 20, do you plan on updating the Skeleton crew build?

Probably shouldn’t need to, but I may make some updates to it anyway. I don’t have direct access to the wizard, so it’ll be up to the crew developers if they want to upload it. I don’t have a timeline though. The movies and shows and the layout should all be fine on Nexus. It’s just Mad Titan for the IPTV that I’m not sure about compatibility. I should have some free time in the next couple weeks to play around with it.

Thank you for the info. Does the Mad Titan add on control the EPG from not working correctly for US entertainment?
