If you’re like me, you prefer to use the scroll bar on the player controls instead of using the skip button on the remote. But when you push and hold the left or right buttons on the scroll bar it always goes too far. If you want to go back 3 minutes to catch something you weren’t paying attention to it’s difficult. You’ll likely end up going back 5 or 10 minutes. Then you have to wait for it to start playing again and click the forward button a couple of times to get where you really wanted to be.
Instead, you can go into the Kodi player settings and change the skip steps to only be +/- 10 seconds. This way, when you push and hold the left or right button on the slider it will more smoothly get to where you want to be. But if you want to rewind or fast forward a large amount, like 30 minutes, it will just take a little longer to get there.
