I am using a FireStick 4K Max with the Xenon 3.34 build on Kodi 20.2. When I use it immediately after it is loaded everything is fine, but the next time I go to use Kodi the screen goes black and then back to the Firestick home screen or it just stays black. I have tried to update and it says it is not installed, but on the manage apps page it shows it is installed. I have it installed on another TV and do not have any issues. Any suggestions?
Don’t use a build. Use one or two add-ons instead. See how that works for you. Could be a storage issue, need 1 gig or more to run stable. Welcome, hope this helps.

Don’t use builds they take up too much memory, just put basic Kodi on and your favourite addons, I use 20.1 for firestick.
