Firestick doesn’t block sideloading . You have to put it in developer mode first . Good luck

Amen brother!
Both compliment each other perfectly - i really only need an IPTV service for sports & news. The rest i can watch on KODI - all my weekly shows, old shows, movies, etc., etc. Best thing about KODI - NO FREAKIN’ COMMERCIALS. I like saving 15 minutes on a 1 hr. show that would otherwise be useless adverts!!!
Definitely need Real Debrid & Trakt to complete the perfect trifecta!!!

No Miki was just trying to correct you so you don’t mess up somebody else that read this forum that Amazon is stopping fire sticks from being side-loaded. That’s all he was doing educating somebody else that you might confuse. He’s the best in helping people on this forum.

I can get the emoji bar to pop-up but it won’t allow me to change my laughing face. Maybe it’s my phone or maybe I need to go back to bed. Good morning to you too @Miki.

That’s exactly the way I watch. Occasionally I will watch sports on a Kodi add-on when the event is not on IPTV. I had Kodi on the FS and used it the same way there before Amazon started making changes that interfered with my viewing preferences, as Miki articulated so well. In 2022, he advised me “after many years as a firestick user the latest updates hint at more control to come, so maybe better sooner than later to move away fron Amazon. Decision is yours.” I didn’t care for the changes they were making or for the amount of effort it took just to watch tv. It required frequent power cycling of the modem, router and FS. The amount of bloatware surpassed ridiculous. All this in addition to the issues with sideloading. I spent a lot of time troubleshooting. I took Miki’s advice. I ditched the FS and I have never regretted it. I have an .onn as a backup. For me, it is also far superior to the stick.
