So is the Samsung tv, which I just purchased able to be turned on , not having to go through all their advertisements, and straight to a hdmi input?
Iāve followed your instructions, however thereās no screen settings under privacy tab for me
So what model of Samsung do you have?
My answer was for a Samsung from 2025.
These are images from my Samsung, you have to go to āAll Settingsā on my TV to get to these pages.
Notice Autorun last app⦠Is off, the other setting has to do with using Amazon Alexa with Samsung but nothing to do with question.
I have a 2025 model and it looks different than your pics.
I think ot depends on the model and trim levels.
@Where did you try the method I mentioned above? Try turning off the Smart Home Hub. That may let you power on directly to the last hdmi.
Im still try to figure all the Bells and Whistles on the model and most i will probably never use.
Not sure what everyoneās Samsung TV does, but when I start my System up using the remote for my Buzz P6L Ultimate, the TV/Soundbar/ P6L all come on. Then for a brief amount of time the Tizen homescreen is shown. The P6L is the last to boot up, but once it does my Samsung recognizes that an HDMI port has an active input device, with a signal, and auto switches to that HDMI port. Total startup time from button push on remote to startup screen for the BUZZ is about 30 seconds. I use to have Tivimate set up to āstart on last channelā but now I choose what starts from the displayed Buzz homescreen. The Buzz homescreen is just a list of app icons for whatās on the P6L, no ads, nothing else.
Ahhh the Good Ole days. Yes my previous Samsung tv with the one connect box was great and set up was easier. It recognizd the hdmi port i turned on and automatically switched to it. If it wasnt for the big white streak in the middle of the screen Id still be using it.
This tv is āmore advanced" so it makes it harder to set it up and tweak. Many new menu options and OS as well.
I am happy with it but just need to try to make some adjustments if I can. Or if they let me lol.
Everything is working so that is the most important part.
Ya mine is just 2 yrs old now. Love the One connect. No white line thank god. My last Samsung was a cheap Samsung that was on sale at Walmart in Mexico $140 cdn. Worked flawlessly for 4 yrs and it was already 2 yrs out of date when I got it.
Oh and good morning @JPM69
-28°c or minus 19°F. Snowing. Brrrrrr
Brrrrrrrr Good Morning @Miki .
Yeah i got about 6 or 7 years out of the old tv so in todayās world Iāll take it. Lol
The one connect boxes are harder to find nowadays and only on the higher end tvs that are above my price point. This one was too but thanks to a big discount and 5 years of free warranty I grabbed it.
Ya between the Samsung Sound bar and TV it was around $5,500 CDN, so about $300 USD.
Hoping I can get 5 yrs out of it before I upgrade.
I thought that would be T-Shirt weather for you Canadians.
You forgot the shorts. Itās a true fashion statement wearing shorts and longjohns. ![]()
They do that in the US but just not smart enough to wear the long johns and I can say that as a US citizen ![]()
I hate Samsung TVs. I feel like you canāt use any remote, but thereās it sucks and then it also keeps wanting me to watch their free TV constantly. Maybe I just donāt know how to use it but I find it extremely frustrating especially the remoteās
I have absolutely never had any app, or program, start on my Samsung, all by itself. I only use my Buzz P6L Ultimate remote and on the rare occasion dig out my Samsung remote to do updates or read up on new policies. Itās like any electronic device these days, you have a learning curve, and just how deep you go into learning to use the device is entirely up to you. I absolutely love clicking around each and every settings option to see what can be done, and where. Whether a powerful streaming box or a TV, itās all about the learning for me.
I use ipsmarter light app on Samsung tv put Iptv on it no problems
I didnāt have to jail break anything. I was able to load all software to my Westinghouse and Samsung TVās. You can load an airdrop feature from your TVās software apps. You can then either use your IPhone or an ONN stream box and load all the software that way. I was able to do that with both those brands. The g house thing is the Samsung is an older model and I was told my my son the newer ones wonāt allow it. There are 1000ās of open source on my Westing. with ROKU. I couldnāt believe some of the apps that were available. Take a look when you get a chance . It will blow your mind.
***There are some really nice interface apps that will help beyond, what is talked about in the open. (Wink)(wink)
Thank you everyone for the info. Been busy helping friend this Christmas season. I do have mecool Android box. Just curious about the smart TVs.
Dewy. I had the same problem until I turned off my Samsungs
access to the internet.
Add this playlist to Tivimate for SamsungTv channels
