Is surfshark deal of 2yrs +4months free no longer

My ipvniah sub running out, was going to try surfsharks 2yr + 4mon but now only seeing 2yr +3mon deal. I’m I sol on the 4month deal. Thanks poor boy

Sorry found post where it said last day for the 4month was Last month. :unamused:

I found this on Troy’s latest “Troy at TROYPOINT”’ email that was sent out this morning.

Thank You very much for the answer that was kind of you. I had got the email though. Got the surfshark plan but seems slower than IP Vanish Surfshark won’t let me use wireguard on PC windows 10 it won’t connect. IP vanish wireguard work great on PC. Wireguard fine on Firesticks and android phone with SS.

I decided to take previous advantage of the Surfshark deal so I could compare it with my ExpressVPN. There is little difference in download/upload speeds, but I like no limit on the number of connections with Surfshark, which is also less expensive. On the other hand, I like ExpressVPN’s app and user interface better. If Surfshark’s performance is consistent with ExpressVPN’s over the next 3 months, I’ll probably let the ExpressVPN subscription expire.

I’m letting my IP Vanish account expire since I’ve been testing Surfshark. We’ve not had any of the issues that, sadly, we were having with IPV. So we’ve been really happy with SS at a better price and a local server option.

sim_bill, please let me know how you make out? I have Nord but would like to try something better. Thanks Bill.

The only problem I have with SS right now is the rebooting. The kill switch will engage and disengage the internet. Then I got to hook everything back up and takes me two or three times connecting and disconnecting SS on the Los Angeles server then finally I’ll get a stream going. The stream doesn’t always automatically reconnect after I bring SS and my internet back online, a lot of times I don’t have a stream.

I don’t have the reboot problem as that would drive me crazy. Just wish I could get wireguard to play nice with windows 10. I haven’t really researched it yet. I do like the no ands trakers thought.

So far, so good with Surfshark. Performance and speed is on par with ExpressVPN. Even though I like Express’s interface a bit better, Surfshark has unlimited connections at a time. Surfshark also costs less. For these reasons, I’ll stick with Surfshark.

You’re doing something wrong.

Have any idea as to what I may be doing wrong? :upside_down_face:

I never had luck with wire guard. It was always buffering. I took the next one down the line can’t remember the letters on it.

For what I can recall, I’m thinking that there is an “automatic” setting where SS will change to the best protocol for the situation.

Just saw this article for Surfshark VPN. I don’t know if its only for new purchases or renewals are included.

I’m glad to hear that you got the VPN working. Oddly, I have mine on auto and every time that I’ve checked it was on Wireguard. So I haven’t messed with it. I’ve been really happy with SS. I have used IPV for 3-4 years, maybe longer, but really started having a lot of issues with it. So I figured that I would sign up for SS since they offered a free 30 day trial.

My subscription with IPV expires early in September. I just need to figure out how to cancel that subscription before they renew it.

How does Surfshark compare to Nord VPN? My subscription with Nord ends in March of 2025. Thank You for your sage advice!!!
