I use FilmPlus all the time but tonight when it starts, it will see my favourites and history but not a single title has any links to it. The screen is basically grey with the play button in the bottom right. I’ve googles a bit and read that the main servers may be down. Can anyone get FilmPlus to work tonight? It’s an older version, I tried to update over mine but it would not install, it failed after trying. . I have not deleted the old version yet wanting to keep my Fav’s an history.
Yup…down here too…version 1.7.6
More or less the same situation for me.
Saved TV shows do not show links. Saved movies do, and the movie does play.
However, the usual interface of movies, TV, etc. Does not load.
Thanks for posting this, because that’s why I’m actually responding tonight. It’s good to know I’m not the only one who’s having difficulty.
FURTHER INFORMATION OR ADVICE FROM THOSE WHO ARE IN THE KNOW WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED.
*“*Please inform if we should delete our current film plus application, and download the latest version. Thank you!**”
@ the previous 3 posters.
I uninstalled 1.5.7 and installed 1.8.1. Sadly that version is ad riddled.
So uninstalled 1.8.1 and back to 1.5.7.
Took a while to populate the images of movies and series.
Played around with player selection:
Inbuilt player not great. Tried MX player pro and VLC.
Both work. Tried selection of " play" or " “play with”. Both had slight buffering and then began to play ok.
If you select a movie and just get a grey screen, with an arrow on the bottom right corner, just click on thr arrow and it will provide a list of streaming links.
Maybe they were working on it and thus it didnt work for you at the time.
Hope that yours is now working again.
Thank you for your response.
I’m going to wait till tomorrow, Friday 19th, to see if film plus has been restored or updated.
I might uninstall and then install again.
Not an expert, and I’ve been away from this stuff for a really long time, so extremely rusty. What I would say, is that with surfshark VPN and real debrid buffering and ads can largely be eliminated. Take a look at The insider and Troy point to learn more about both.
Thanks again for posting,
It use to work for me but now I don’t get many links . Not even many RD llnks .
Just tried mine again. See my post on possible solutions.
Try again. It’s 12:30 a.m. eastern standard time, and there was an update. So updated, I’m not sure what the version is I’ll let you know, but everything seems back in working order. So, give it another try now.
Ed note: version 1.8 3
Hi. Where did you find version 1.8.3 please?
I didn’t find it, per se. Usually, for me anyway, film Plus presents an update option on occasion when you start it up.
So when I opened up the application later this evening, that option was presented to me, and I just selected update.
There may well be another way to update to this latest version. Post that question here and ask for alternatives. I wish I could be a greater help.
I’m not suggesting this, because it might screw you up, but one solution might be to delete the film plus version you have, and then do a fresh install of the latest version.
BUT DON’T DO THIS BEFORE YOU CONSULT WITH PEOPLE WHO KNOW MUCH MORE ABOUT THIS THAN ME.
Ask in this thread and someone should be able to help. You might even ask Troy himself.
Take care and good luck,
M.
Many thanks. I will stick with my current version, because it works.
You may want to check surfshark VPN and real debrid. Together, they may enhance your viewing experience.
Good luck!
M.
Thank you. I already have debrid and a good vpn. I dont have any pop up ads issues.
Version 1.8.1 Film plus was experimented with, without using either of the above. Thus the pop ups.
But Film plus 1.5.7 does not give any concern regarding adverts, with or without vpn.
where are you guys downloading FilmPlus from?..i am running 1.8.1 and have ZERO issues gettin RD links OR annoying ads.
Direct from film plus web site. Where did you get yours? A link would be good. Thanks
@S3XY67 …Not to bother. I have resolved my quest.
Well it seems what I had initially hoped for was the case. It was their servers as this morning it works again as before and I use it quite a lot. My version is older than the ones listed here. I am using 1.5.3. I never updated because I still believe if it aint broke, don’t fix it. Unless an app has new features that interest me or something to make it better, there is no sense in upgrading. I don’t have the 1.5.3 apk so if I did and had buyers remorse, I could not go back unless I was able to find mine on some site that hosts older version. In summary, FilmPlus is working again. Thank you for all those who took the time to reply.
Glad to see you are back on line with the app.
You could back up your app to an sd card or usb stick.
So, if you ever need to reinstall it, it will be avaiable.
You could use cx explorer to reinstall it if necessary.
By the way, i have stuck with 1.5.7.
As you said, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
I wasn’t sure if backing up a folder of an installed app somewhere safe like my USB stick, then installing another version would allow me to reinstall it again. That is something I should test with some app I don’t care about. Back up, delete the installed one then try and get it working again.
If you go into FilmPlus Settings…there are backup options there for Playlist etc
