What version are you trying to update to? Google Play store has version 4.0.0.10.14…
Welcome by the way, glad to have you!!!
Thank you.
Yes, I’m trying to install version 4.0.0.10.14…
This may be a stupid question, but can I access the Google Play Store on the Firestick?
Thanks for the link, however I ended up with the same version of IPVanish that I had before. Is there another way to install the newer version?
Unfortunately, IPVanish asked me to remove those links. Only option is to install through Google Play or Amazon App Store.
OK, Thanks.
I guess I’m out of luck.
It appears the Aurora Store and possibly Aptoide TV app on the Rapid App Installer have the updated IPVanish version if the Amazon App Store doesn’t have it. Both are very similar to Google Play Store and may fix your problem.
Update…it appears that Aurora may not be usable on the firestick and Aptoide TV isn’t installing from RAI, appears to be an issue with the download link. These may not help you then lol.
This is just a gm ( general maintenance) release as outlined in the release number. So no major additions or mods.
Have fun and STREAM ON.
I was unable to install Aptoide TV app (parse error) and the link in the Aurora Store doesn’t seem to be working.
I don’t know what I’m supposed to do with that APKMirror link. How do I get that on the Firestick?
Open the downloader app and enter the link.
(IPVanish VPN: The Fastest VPN 4.0.0.10.143346143346-gm APK Download by IPVanish VPN - APKMirror)
Then scroll down and get whatever apk you want.
Why would they do that? Just curious. It be smart to have these links on the rai.
According to them they don’t like the fact that people are installing through our RAI and the apps may not auto-update when a new version IS available in the app store.
That dont seem fair… we can update the apps. Its why i have a topic for rai aps open. Lol. But i digress, their choice.
fwpotter,
If you’re using a Firetv device, just got to the search and enter ‘ipvanish’…it’ll probably show up after just ‘ipv’. Then just click install.
If using a Android device, go to the Play Store>>search>>type or say ‘ipvanish’ and click install.
