I just setup my new Onn 4k. Everything works fine except my backup Iptv. Amber service works fine. I turned off clean web and tried multiple servers and nothing works. if I switch over to my Firestick, it works. Could I be missing a setting?
Update: I was able to get a connection using static ip. It only worked for about 20 minutes. Must be a SS issue. Just can’t figure why Onn doesn’t connect but firestick will.
Keep trying different locations for your vpn? Croatia?
I’ve tried multiple countries around the world and cities near me unsuccessfully except for connecting a couple times for only a short period using static ip. The service is Ittechbasic, which I had the same issues with on my firestick until I turned off clean web. That fix doesn’t work on my new Onn.
Does it work with it off?
What player are you using?
Have you tried both xtreme codes and m3u file?
You haven’t provided any information that might shed a clue other than user error. I had Ittechbasic at one time and didn’t have any problems. You shouldn’t either on your Onn box.
Tv mate premium. My first thought was I entered the extreme code incorrectly. However the fact that I’ve gotten it to work a couple times with a static ip tells me it must be entered correctly. It just keeps losing connection after a short time. Like I said above, I had the same issue on my firestick until I turned off clean web. That worked on my firestick and I’ve had no issues. Everything seems exactly the same between the FS and the Onn. I keep switching back and forth and the FS is working fine. I’m stumped.
The firestick and Onn box have different OS.
As throttlejockey suggested, turn off SS VPN and try to connect. That will eliminate SS as a factor.
If it works fine, change your SS setting. Start with something simple like wireguard protocol.
Shut off the VPN see if it works. Been streaming for 10 years without a VPN and see so many issues here from people that are VPN based
I’m having a similar issue but a little different. It seems that I consistently have to change the URL to get my connections to occur. This happens with both my IPTV services that I use, Strong and 12PC. Anyone have an idea as to why that might be? Is it at all connected to the issue raised in this thread?
After lots of testing here’s what I found.
Amber strong 8k works on firestick and Onn 4k with clean web on or off.
Ittechbasic works on firestick with clean web off. It does not work on Onn 4k. I tried all protocols and multiple cites/ countries. It does work with SS disconnected.
Does anyone use Ittechbasic with Onn4k successfully?
Wondering if you’ve found a resolution. Its a head scratcher for sure.
Do you have SS installed on each box, or on a router.
Since ITT works with SS off, that eliminates the box and iptv service (partially).
You could try clearing the SS data and cache on the Onn, uninstall, reboot, and reinstall SS. It could be something as simple as a setting.
If SS is on a router, I have no idea.
Hang in there. Cord cutting isn’t for the faint of heart.
Edit: I’ve always checked streams by loading the m3u into the VLN player. Its also worth a try and confirms the service is reliable.
Sometimes a total system shut down and 5 minute wait period works wonders ![]()
Funny I am reading this, thought I was the only one. I have 5 services in the mancave on tivimate. I switched to s.shark last month and everything seemed great except ittech basic. I found only a couple of US cities would play a channel then I would have to disconnect s.s. and reconnect the same city and was was able to switch channels. I wrote support, got a different url for xtreme code but still had the same issue w ittech. I went back to private internet access and ittech worked perfectly. The settings on the 2 vpns are the same. Just a weird bug with ittech and s.shark……still better than cable! ….and I only use n shield on all my tvs.
Know the feeling, and you received numerous directives on how to correct. I resolved by using Microsoft Copilot (AI) and asked initial questions that evolved to the having the targeted software/APK operating as it should. Takes a little time, but they narrow their advisory through questions that create and provide a comprehensive Master Setting list that works and can be easily configured. Good Luck.
