This might have already been discussed, but I was wondering there are services out there offering the option to opt out of the VOD?
Also when you are signing up for a service I know some of them offer VOD only or shows only and both at different prices. Pretty sure Amber Baby does that as well.
When you request a trial, ask for content you want.
eg USA, Canada, UK, sports and no VODs
Test and get the service that has the content you want
