Anyone know of an IPTV player with built-in subtitles? Maybe a built-in open subtitles account
.I’m aware of using external player method, but it’s always pretty slow and a by clunky.

Do you mean subtitles coded on the stream? - you would need to ask your service provider

I use subtitles in Stremio when needed. You can either configure them in the settings to be continuously on or just use them when needed in a movie that you are watching when their are foreign language bits. When I start a movie i then hit the ok button on my remote to pause the movie then click the icon that looks like a little book or computer down the lower left. Then in the pop up window you can choose whatever language you desire for your translation. I always use English(forced) if needed, that way I only get subtitles that translate the foreign language bits and not the English. Subtitle settings are unique to each different app you are using. I know you were asking about IPTV but also knew you would like subtitles and the two apps like Tivimate and Stremio cover everything from live tv and videos. Stremio also has IPTV addons but I never use them as on my opinion Tivimate or say Sparkle are better for live TV with more options.

KODI has subtitles for most streams and my IPTV service has subtitles built into their proprietary app

subtitles works great with tivimate, if your provider/source offers them.

Sorry for any confusion. I mean an IPTV player, APK, that links with open-subtitles.
