I think, as Troy alluded, surfshark is new app, only released if i recall within the last month as the ability to run a vpn on the apple tv is very recent functionality that has been added. I suspect ( may be wrong of course) that surfshark was rushing to get ther vpn available asap so expect more features in later versions.
Great video. Being similar to the android version is why I chose to buy it. Less of a learning curve for my wife😁
You can put IPTV on Kodi by using a NEXTPVR server app on a win10 workstation. With nextpvr server you can run a client.
Thanks , I’ll take a look.
Alibaba just for example?
You can get the Kodi App for a price.($79) Not easy to set up for anyone though.
IPTV from Alibaba-which i bought- did not work on Apple TV…2 little red symbols come up after the tivimax logo. But it works fine on IPTV Smarters .
The Kodi App itself is FREE. Troy has a video on how to set up once you download the app.
Oh. I thought it was the Koditvbox that they offer for Apple TV.
Thanks. I suspected that. My guess is iptv subscriptions will be hit or miss using Apple TV.
Been waiting for this app. Very similar to TiviMate. Thanks.
Troy, thank you for the demo, well done. Question, did you test the network speed? I know Apple TV has the ability to directly connect via ethernet cord, so I was just curious about what type of connection speeds you were getting and if you found less buffering on the Apple TV device compared to a new Firestick
Without the ability to split channel the VPN, I’m assuming that you’ll have to manually connect / disconnect the VPN when switching between IPTV and content services like Netflix. The app looks great, I wonder how often it gets updates and how dedicated the developer will stay to it, then again, so long as it worked exactly like that forever I don’t think I’d care about developer involvement lol
Can I mirror the screen onto my TV from my IPad
Perhaps having a read at the following may give you some direction to do what you want.
For the Appletv i use iPvanish. It now has a kill switch too. Seems to,work fine on all my devices.
I purchased this box as well as the Tivimax app and I am very satisfied with just about everything except for the recording feature which they don’t have, virtually no buffering especially at my very low rural speed of 8-10mbps. Extremely similar app to Tivimate with some features a bit easier like selecting favs and moving & organizing them. You can customize the remote keys.
One thing I dislike is that there is no way to adjust settings on a VPN (Surfshark in this case) or select specific cities; you cannot have a monitor dot either, you’ll have trust that your VPN won’t drop but you can actually watch your regular TV channels w/out it if you wish.
The remote control is very robust and it is chargeable by using a type C connector; I also didn’t even have to pair the TV, all the controls work including the power button.
My 2 cents…Thank you.
If I may, this box does not have an ethernet connection, just wifi.
As far as speed, I downloaded the speed app thru the App store and is similar if not the same as Ookla if you’re familiar with that, works just fine.
I found less buffering. Thx.
I have a 2017 Apple TV sitting on the shelf and thought it would work better than Fire TV so I’m Interested in more if you have the time. It’s a bit of a mess to install you did a good start will need to try again. Thanks
Just loaded Tivimax and am getting lip synch issues. How to adjust lip synch in Tivimax? Is there a way to change Tivimax player to VLC?
