And here is the Devs Discord site to contact him and give feature requests or just get help.
Have you tried this. I’ve used Smarters for a long time. It works good, but doesn’t have all the options tivimate has.
I don’t have or use any i stuff or Mac. I saw this and know that many have wanted an app that will do pretty much the same as TiViMate and came across this app on a Discord site and had never seen anything as advanced as this for our i brothers and sisters.
Couldn’t agree more. I’ve been at it since I saw this post. No buffering, HD is amazing. Its just as good as TIvimate…and the sub is easy on the wallet. Its worth the shot…
I have Strong8 from AB running on Sparkle on my Shield, and I would like to find a player for my iPhone. Ideally would not be a subscription, and ideally would accept xtreme codes (my Strong) and would give the ability to cast from my phone to my TV. Tried MyTVOnline and while it works well on my phone, it won’t let me cast. Do you have any opinion about UHF-Love Your IPTV ?
UHF or IMPlayer for iPhone are my favs.
I’ve seen a lot of positive info about UHF. Do you know if it will cast from a phone to the TV?
I just downloaded UHF and tested it briefly. I can get it to cast to my Shield, but not to my Samsung smart TV, although I may not have set up the TV correctly…have to work with it some more. But first impression is very favorable. Somewhere in the documentation I read that the free version has a watermark, but I haven’t seen that in the little bit of live TV I have tested…
Haven’t tried that feature ![]()
If your shield is connected to your TV via HDMI I am not understanding why you would cast to your TV from your phone. The Shield has a superior setup to the TV, with better CPU, GPU and RAM.
Yes, it’s connected via HDMI, but truthfully, the resolution of the cast video on the Shield doesn’t look as good as the original image on the iPhone, so I thought maybe it would be better on the Samsung.
You don’t cast on the shield. Using Tivimate or Stremio or any other app it plays the vid straight to your TV over the HDMI and if you are using a soundbar then using ARC or e-ARC will play sound through your soundbar. The SoC or the CPU/GPU using hardware exceleration, the vid will play the best pic your TV can handle and the Shield Pro has upscaling to even improve the pic before playing on your TV.
Sorry, I probably should have explained more carefully. Yes, my basic use case is doing exactly as you described, and Sparkle/HDMI/Shield/TV gives great picture and sound. I wanted a player on my iPhone that could cast in case I am at my kids’ house with no Shirld and no Sparkle, and still be able to watch my content on their big TV.
Ahhh. Ok. That makes more sense. Thank you for clarifying that. Have a great weekend.
I believe you can cast from the iPhone to your TV using Stremio Web in Safari and a casting player like VLC. Use USATV on Stremio for live channels. Its a bit clumsy, but it works.
