I am having problems putting m3u playlists in Tivimate and downloader. Whenever I try to import a playlist I end up getting an error message. I would appreciate any tips on doing this. Thanks
If you are using Downloader to download an m3u file, once it’s finished downloading just click “Done”, don’t click anything else. The m3u file will be saved in your Downloader folder. When you go into TiviMate settings, playlists, add playlist, select add M3U playlist, then click Select local playlist and browse to your Downloader folder. Locate the m3u file you just downloaded and click it.
I can’t even get the file to download at all, it just comes up with an error code. I’m not sure if the file is up to date or not, maybe its old. Any recommendations on U.S. m3u files that work?
Not sure what you’re trying to download, or where it is from, is it a free file? There are some free files that have US channels in them. Quite a few actually. Might not be the channels you’re wanting, lol, but there are a lot to choose from.
EDIT: You can try this, it has the 4 major networks. I had posted this m3u file a few days ago. Just to see if it works.
Here it is, if anyone wants to test and give feedback. It worked for me on both TiviMate and VLC. (I’m in the USA)
Download url: https://aftv.news/440276
Downloader code: 440276
This is an m3u file which contains the live ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC OTA channels from New York.
Here’s also a bunch of US channels. Here is the url format and also the code to download as a file. Depending on how you want to do it.
URL for Tivimate: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/iptv-org/iptv/master/streams/us.m3u
Downloader code for saving as m3u file: 692146 (doesn’t download as a file for Nvidia Shield, but will with Amazon devices)
Just a quick question. Will this m3u work in tivimate with an existing m3u already installed. Will it only fill in the networks. Do they work together?
Thanks for any help. I’m still learning.
If you have the free version of TiviMate you can only have 1 playlist/m3u. If you have the premium version you can install as many as you like, within reason.
So yes, it will work with another m3u already loaded/installed if you have the premium version. They will work seperately. Just select from the names of the m3u on the left side of your TiviMate menu to switch to a different one.
If you have the premium sub you can do multiple m3us.
As far as “filling in”, it will not fill in another playlist. However, you can add it to your All Favorites, or make a folder to add them.
I make a master Favorites in the All Favorites section. That way I don’t need to jump around from playlist to playlist.
You can, of course, use extra epg urls in multiple playlist. I use to have about 10 playlists and 22 EPGs on each of them.
I have the tivimate premium and I will download and add the m3u in for the networks. I’ll give it a shot and report later.
Thanks.
Good luck! Keep in mind those are just the New York affiliates for the networks. You won’t get your own local ABC, for example. These are just 4 network channels that I got from the daddylive website and made into an m3u.
The github link I provided gives you access to a bunch of free m3u’s. Many countries. gl2u
I tried the m3u that you gave with the 4 network affiliates out of NY and it does work within Tivimate. You said you made a m3u file from Daddylive website. What I’m really interested in is an m3u file with epg for The TV App. I found this app through Troypoint and I would love to put it in Tivimate to record programs as well. Here is the link to the app. Do you know how I could make a m3u and epg file for this or get one? I would love it!
I know how to make an m3u out of most channels on a website, but to explain to someone from scratch it would be a long process. How about you just tell me the names of the channels you want and I’ll make it for you? The epg part won’t be included though. You can get that on your own or with some links possibly from Miki.
That would be excellent if you could make me a file. The channels I would be interested in would be TNT, FX, FXM, Hallmark, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, AXS TV, Any HBO, Cinemax, Showtime or Starz, and Epix. Thank you, I appreciate it!
Okay. I will get to work on it and have it finished in a short while. Or a fairly short while, lol
It’s ready. I will send it to you via PM.
Has a line started to form? Where should I stand.
Be carefull guys/gals. There’s a fine line between m3u, APKs, and other types of playlists and IPTV Services. Especially when u start referring to copyrighted material.
