If you're purchasing a VPN and pay you any tax at check-out then here's a tip

Here in the UK we pay 20% VAT on most purchases so when I was purchasing NordVPN a couple years ago I thought I’d see what happens if I changed my Tax Country.
When I chose Jersey or Guernsey then the VAT went from 20% down to 0% and Nord doesn’t seem to care which country you are actually in.
I then purchased Surfshark recently so I tried the same trick and again the VAT went to 0% so if you do pay any form of tax at check-out for Nord or SS, it may also work for other digital services, then you know what to do people :+1:

Thank you for that little bit of information. We will now be updating all our accounts to have the proper taxes. LOL

You know you’re a Spoilsport don’t you :joy:

So, how did you change your tax country, when subscribing to your vpn provider?

Cancel the question. Just changed my vpn country to Hong Kong and then looked at the vpn subscription. No vat applied.
