How to Setup Premiumize on Kodi/APKs for Free Movies & Shows

I’ve always thought that of PM’s pricing also, despite the fact that I’m on a 2 yr sub. RD has always been generally cheaper despite only being able to purchase 6 month max increments…albeit tighter usage restrictions.

That said, there’s something to be said about TorBox pricing and it’s much less restrictive usage policies. $23/yr, with a price locked recurring renewal rate is impressive.

I did read the rules and I couldn’t find a previous post that was close enough for me to join in.

Hopefully this doesn’t violate any..

Using recommended apps and procedures from Troypoint, I had installed Stremio and had opened a Premiumize me account.

(Premiumize main email…Stremio less used email)

Premiumize was working on an older apk and Stremio.

Installed it on a few of my Minix android boxes. All appeared to be good. Premiumize suggested I could leave a Review on Trustpilot…which I did… praising their service. I did notice that the attitude with customer service could be directly opposite of the previous conversation (bipolar.??.smh).

Yesterday (wasn’t using and hadn’t used their service for weeks) I got an email my account was suspended..??

Still waiting to see if I get a response to my messages asking (lol) for apology and explanation.

I quote: ā€œHello,

we would like to inform you that your account with Premiumize .me has been closed with immediate effect.

This measure has been taken by us because we have observed behaviour on your account that is incompatible with the continued use of our service.
Since your account does not have a premium membership or credit balance, a refund is not applicable.

What does this mean for you?

• Access to your account and all associated content and functions has been permanently disabled.
• The creation of new accounts is not permitted and may result in further action.
• Further use of our service is prohibited.

Please understand that this is a final decision that has been made after careful internal review. Reactivation of the account or re-registration is not possible.

Best regards,
Premiumize .me Customer Serviceā€

I should mention Intially my purchase was through Paypal and should of been in US but Paypal had used their own exchange and stole an additional $5 cdn. I created adispute against Paypal and notified Premiumize. This is where the bipolar comes in. and conflicts. Paypal said the transaction was valid..I screamed at paypal it wasn’t against the vendor it was paypal. Cleverbridge surprised me and Paypal by refunding the transaction and I immediately did a direct purchase with my US fund credit card.

All was good or so I thought.

They got paid and 2-3 weeks later my account got suspended. If I remove the automatic renewal (I am still logged in) I get notified my account is closed and I can reopen it in a link (Cleverbridge) by turning renewal back on (300ish days away)

I also noticed 4 of the television shows, I watched, were listed as transfers in my account…not sure how they got there but I deleted them.

I had enjoyed Troypoint recommendations and at the moment I have NO CLUE what behavior they are talking about.

Just thought I should share this info in a forum that maybe able to help correct the issue before things go too far… to be resolved.

Thanks for your time

Joe

@SmookinJoe, thank you for the write-up on your debrid issues.

But I kinda got lost on what exactly was the original issue that Premiumize brought up?

I was originally reluctant about Premiumize due to the cost, but I used RD until the Black Friday sale, and then picked up a 2-year PM subscription for about $140 ($70/year). The fact that I can share that same subscription with both my parents as well as my 2 children, makes it very attractive. Previously, I was having to pay for / manage multiple RD subscriptions for each of my family members. Having the single / sharable PM subscription at the black Friday pricing, has been great. It’s possible that in two years when my subscription is up, that TB is robust enough to switch, but for now, PM has been king.

So did I…lol

My last email, from them, finally explained it

I quote

Hello,

We have suspended your account due to a case of fraud. In one instance, you made a payment to us and then unauthorizedly charged it back. This resulted in costs of USD 38, which we are charging you in accordance with our Terms of Service.
We have therefore deducted this amount from your remaining balance and initiated a refund for the remaining amount.

Initiating a chargeback is a violation of our Terms of Use and will result in the permanent suspension of your account.

Best regards,

Now that Premiumize is not accepting crypto, does anyone have any advice / suggestions on next best form of (discrete) payment? TIA

While we’re on the topic of payment methods, I’m curious how far people take this in an effort to remain ā€œanonymousā€. I’ve mostly used Privacy virtual cards for these types of purchases, since this method does hide your name, credit card information, address, and other information from the merchant. Granted, the payment is still linked in the background to your actual bank account. So, if the merchant was really pressed by the government, and an investigation ensued, I’m sure that the payment count be easily traced back to you if they were motivated to do so.

From searching online, I’ve seen that one of the most secure payment options is to purchase a pre-paid Visa gift card with cash from a physical store. With this method, not only does the gift card not link back to you, but even the method of purchase (cash) is not traceable.

Understandably, this takes more time and adds to the inconvenience factor, especially if you’re managing IPTV and debrid subscriptions for multiple family members or friends. With that being said, how many people are going to these lengths in an attempt to remain anonymous and secure with these types of purchases?

Been streaming for over 10 years and have always used my real name and a personal credit card or Paypal for Debrid services or whatever. Never heard of anyone running into trouble but then again I’m of the nature that the Boogeyman ain’t watching us. Non VPN user as well. I understand I’m much less concerned with any of these type issues than most at The Insider but that is just me. you gotta do you

Bottom line is everyone has a different perspective and outlook of what is ā€œsafeā€ and should proceed in a manner they are comfortable with.

In general, I agree. I’ve never worried too much about it, and expect that it’s the sellers of these services that are primarily the target in most cases vs. the individual subscribers. It’s articles like the following however that show where it could extend further than that though. I’m not sure if I’d completely change up my payment method (from Privacy), but am asking more out of curiosity since this article shows that a government could easily pursue subscribers if they are motivated to do so.

I think privacy MAY become more and more of an issue if these government or whatever ā€œcrackdownsā€ keep occuring and start here in the USA. I’m paranoid and truly wonder what would happen to an individual here in the USA if their favorite IPTV got seized or investigated. I would think a warning of some kind but it does make me think. I’m NOT worried enough to get a gift card because many IPTV small operators are not set up to take a CC or a gift card. I know PRIVACY.COM is not foolproof but it feels like at least a level of security from the merchant.
