How to record to t95z plus with tivimate

THANK YOU!! It worked!

Hi. I had the exact same problem. The cause was the external SSD that I had connected by USB. I guess it was too slow because when I changed the drive it solved my problem. Note that it did NOT fix the recording issue with the cheap IPTV service from Alibaba. That one still quits after a minute.

I assume you’re talking about using the system picker. RDShead came up with a solution that worked for me: "Open X-Plore app and open Internal shared storage, scroll down to Download, then create a Tivimate folder and then create a sub folder Recordings,
Now open Tivimate set up recording folder in Tivimate and select:
/storage/emulated/0/Download/Tivimate/Recordings

This worked for me, good luck.
P.S. this was on a new T95z plus Android 12 w/ 4g ram and 128 storage."

This is to record TiVimate to the 128gb storage. Good Luck.

I have not gotten mine to record. I am a newbie and have poked around and just have no idea. Is there a beginners tutorial on “recording” in general? I have watched Troy’s review of the t95z and he breezed over recording like I/we knew what he was talking about.

Search Is Your Friend...!

An older example of what you can find by searching. It will give you a lot of knowledge you may not have.

This is for Fire devices but the method is the same for most 'droid devices.

Thank you. I guess it helps when you know the proper search parameters. I will go read them all. thank you

This buzz box 5 I have is total junk, 200 bucks for an IPTV dedicated box that doesn’t automatically refresh the EPG or the channels is ridiculous. It will only update by itself every 6 hours, and most of the time it does not record properly!

5 days ago — This update has fixed the System Picker issue on the T95Z devices. So now you can access the system picker and choose where to record to.

Hey @Comtech what’s your post about? Trying to understand what it’s for?

that is a quote from Troy about the newest tivimate update and what it does,it has fixed the system picker issue

Ahhh got ya. Ya that was mentioned further up in this thread. I posted your comment regarding it being fixed after our conversation and I thought perhaps something had changed. Good morning @Comtech good to see ya. Have fun and STREAM ON!!!

how did you get the T95Z with Surfshark to actually have enough thruput to use an IPTV service (eg. TiviMate Pro) not to mention record? I’m about ready to thow my T95Z plus in the bin.

This is what I was waiting for:

Open X-Plore app and open Internal shared storage, scroll down to Download, then down to Tivimate folder and create a sub folder Recordings,
Now open Tivimate set up recording folder in Tivimate and select :
/storage/emulated/0/Download/Tivimate/Recordings

This worked for me, good luck.
P.S. this was on a new T95z plus Android 12 w/ 4g ram and 128 storage

My issue is network bandwidth. The T95Z seems to have a rather poor performing wireless network interface. I can’t get the bandwidth to record using TM Pro. Maybe I just don’t like the recording capability of TiviMate. If it gets a glitch, it seems to replay the last 10 seconds of audio while the video is frozen. Then, it continues on. I guess that’s my problem.

My T95z does that on my alibaba service but it records rock solid on my primary service
