I checked this app out for curiosity sake as I have been using Tivimate for quite some time now. To say it’s similar to TiviMate is quite a stretch. It is better than the stock players you get with the IPTV services but doesn’t even come close to Tivimate. No ability to hide groups and channels , no option to copy or move channels to groups or your create own group and I can go on and on. The record function is very basic also.

I know it’s free and IS a decent upgrade to the stock players, but even the free version of of TiviMate is more powerful than this app. I’ve used or tested other players in the past like Smarters, Perfect Player and now XCIPTV and I will stick with TiviMate. BTW, the premium version does cost $5.99, but we’ll worth it.

Trying my best to use the XCIPTV app on my Nvidia box. The company I use for my service says this is the best player to use with their service. When I open the app to sign in, the 1st thing it ask for is XC. But I don’t know what the heck goes along with the XC. I emailed the company several times asking for that info: They say get the instruction guide online. I can’t do it without using Yahoo. But I hate Yahoo. I don’t know why they can’t just email me what goes in that box. I know the username and password. I hope someone out there can help me.

XC = Extreme Code and contains your Server address, username, and password.

Assuming you are talking about the URL. You need this information from the IPTV service provider, along with the username and password. Not sure what they mean by searching online, the supplier has this information, and if they are playing games with you, I would move on and get a service with helpful customer service.

Got todays email from Troypoint.com extolling the virtues of XCIPTV player so tried to install it but what I get is IPTVSmarters. Am I missing something?

XCIPTV isn’t quite TiViMate but I would agree it is the best free player app out there. It takes much less time to update TV, VOD and Series than just about any player, including IPTV Smarters and the interface is very smooth with a very neat appearance. I use XCIPTV more than the custom IPTV apps for my services as it downloads and accesses sources quite a bit faster.

I don’t really see much advantage of XCIPTV over IPTVSmarters.
XCIPTV was clunkier in adding the first playlist and how the channels are displayed is pretty much the same as IPTVSmarters.

The paid version of Tivimate is definitely the way to go for convenience.
If I wasn’t going to pay anything, I believe that I would stick with IPTVSmarters.
