Tried to install via tp toolbox yesterday. Created an acct. but kept gettin a parse error. Tried disabling SShark vpn ,but still parse error. Solutions ???
Hey there, I could not replicate this issue. Have you tried restarting your device?
Yup, I did try restarting. I’m not a super tech , but pretty comfortable w/ streaming world & devices. Been dabbling in it fur he last 8-10 yrs. I recently reset my Onn 4K pro to factory settings & gonna check to make sure that downloaded has correct permissions. That’s the only thing I can think of right now, that may be causing that parser error.
Yup I was right, hadn’t reset to give file access to downloader, however after I tried again n restarted device still get parse error
Have you tried –Turn on USB debugging.-- Though unclear why, some users have bypassed the parse error by enabling this feature
Hi - I am the developer. Can you let me know your email and i will check for you? Where exactly are you seeing the parse error? During installation, after installation?

So far I have only tried this app on a Tanix W2, flashed with Slimbox running Android 11. I had many problems with this. Won’t navigate well with remote, undefined at times to even figure out where your at on the app with navigation. I installed a playlist, it went in fine, but no channels would play. I had another URL to try so I edited it & still no channels would play. I have had no issues with this playlist on other apps, & yes I even went to another app on same playlist & all is well. It also seems wasteful to me to have the tv live show me those foolish boxes piled up on the screen. I didn’t even bother trying the VOD as the live tv was so bad I wasn’t going to waste any more time with it. I will try this on my AM9 which has Android 14 on it to see how & what the differences are, but at this point it isn’t workable for me at all. I had to use the real mouse for many things, including the edit of the playlist. It surely has some real problems in Android 11 with compatibility.
Just to be sure Troypoint does not have any content and does not supply any playlist. Tivra is strictly an IPTV player that you must add your own playlist subscriptions to. Please read Troy’s tutorial from the beginning so you can better understand. This IPTV player is a premium player you must pay for and Troy clearly outlines this. So please read carefully so you can better understand.
I’m sorry, haven’t been watching lately, wife has health issues. Parse error is during instalation
If you give it another shot on the latest version I fized a lot of bugs and navigation issues. Im also releasing 2.0 in the coming weeks to support catch up, recording,Live tv pause etc.
Latest version is 1.0.28 on our website.
Hey everyone — TIVRA 2.0 is live. Big update, so here’s what’s new vs the version most people are on:
Pause Live TV A rolling buffer keeps the last 60 minutes of whatever channel you’re watching. Hit Pause, get a snack, come back, hit Play. D-pad left/right rewinds/fast-forwards inside the buffer in 10-second steps. No setup per channel.
Scheduled recordings from the EPG Long-press any future program → schedule it. Android’s WorkManager handles the start/stop even if the app is closed. Recurring schedules supported.
Record to your NAS / USB drive Settings → Storage. SMB network share (point it at your NAS / home server) or USB drive (Android SAF picker — works on portable USB without formatting it as adoptable storage).
Completely rebuilt VOD player This was the big one. Movies + series episodes now play through a native ExoPlayer / SurfaceView path instead of the Flutter texture pipeline. The user-visible result:
-
No more frame drops during normal playback (hardware-overlay path)
-
Smooth scrubbing — hold D-pad and the seek accelerates (10s → 20s → 40s → 80s → 2min/tick), release commits one player seek
-
Resume from Continue Watching in 2-3 seconds instead of 5-8
-
Audio + subtitle pickers (real selection, not just on/off)
-
Aspect ratio modes: Fit / Fill / Stretch (via AspectRatioFrameLayout so it actually works on every device)
Trakt integration Optional. Connect a Trakt.tv account in Settings → Continue Watching syncs across devices, home rows show Trending / Recommended / Upcoming based on your Trakt activity.
Polish stack
-
Cinematic detail pages: full-bleed backdrops + transparent-PNG clearLogo titles (via TheTVDB) on movies + series
-
Stream-info chip on every player overlay — see exactly what you’re playing (1080p · H264 · AAC 5.1 etc)
-
Continue Watching: de-duped per series, percentages that actually update after exit
-
Series episode → season tab D-pad navigation fixed
-
Real error toasts when a channel can’t be played (“Channel unavailable”, “Access denied”, etc.) instead of a silent black screen
-
Native overlays match design across live + VOD

Happy to answer questions or take feature requests. Thanks to everyone who’s been running test builds and reporting bugs the past few weeks — the buffer architecture especially took a lot of iteration.
$30 for lifetime looks like a pretty good deal. I currently use and like Tivimate primarily because I can make custom categories (Sports or News or Zelda or another label) where the category can draw from 2 or more playlists. Is that possible with your player?
Yes you can set custom categories, hide categories and channels etc from the web dashboard or in the app. I recommend checking out the dashboard on our website. I dont currently support multiple playlists to the same category but thats a great feature to add. Ill add it to my backlog and try to incorporate it in the next release.
You can sign up without using any credit card info and get a 7 day free trial to test it out.
Let me know what you think.
@putdownfox Tivimate’s ability to combine different playlists into custom channel lists makes it a no-brainer for us at this time. Your player does look great, though.
So you prefer having the ability to create a custom category and add channels from multiple playlists to it? What about the ability to see multiple playlists at the same time? I know that can get a bit noisy with so many channels and so many categories etc. I want to add the custom categories and the ability to see channels from multiple providers in those custom catefories, but not sure about wanting to see everthing from multiple providers at once. What’s most important to you?
