The following tutorial shows how to install TheLabjr Kodi add-on on Firestick, Android TV, or any other device. TheLabjr is an all-in-one add-on that features options for movies, TV series, live streaming, sports, and more. Why would people knowingly install an addon with a virus included.
Which version of this addon are you referring to? There’s a matrix and a nexus and an omega version.
If you look at the install instructions Troypoint added their virus check pics up 4 suspicious files in the repository.
Right. I didn’t notice that, it was further down on the page. Funny thing is, the https://tinyurl.com/TheL48 is just a url shortener for the website address of https://www.midian.appboxes.co/wolfyB/Th3L48/repo/
When you do a virustotal scan on that url, it shows clean. I’ll never know why people scan urls anyway. You’re not scanning any of the files contained in the directory, which is where you’ll actually get the infection, if…
I scan URLs with an app that opens the site and scans it for redirects and malware.
I love seeing where sites or site servers are located and seeing what info is out there. More curiosity than anything else.
Useful if you want to know, sure. But there’s many people that falsely believe that scanning the website url means all the files contained in said website are clean. Point only about downloading files from website.
Site without all the google tracking url gibberish included:
I agree. Scanning the URL with the app I showed, only scans the Site and it’s configuration, not the APKs therein, and yes I want to know. If I am suspicious about an app then I scan the APK before install and then scan the APP after install.
Virustotal online I noticed has changed. Apks still scan the same, but zip files don’t. Very small file size limit ( 3 mb?) and the zip file can only have 1 file contained inside, which is very rarely the case. Kinda puts a halt on scanning Kodi addons individually there.
Tried this add on, not for me. Uninstalled!
