Ya I am ADHD so a slow responding device or app drives me nuts. So I feel ya.
Does closed caption automatically load or do you have to search for them?
Using Just Player, for me the CC has been automatic. I havenāt had to make a point of searching and selecting. This is the first time Iāve ever seen that and itās very helpful.
Thatās big.
I am always into a vid when they will start a foreign dialog and I have to start fumbling for remote and menus for subs to try catch what they saying. Of course, I never catch it and have to miss or playback.
But I am probably more clumsy than someā¦..
Oh no, youāre just one of the family. I always got stressed when I was deep into a movie or vid and then couldnāt understand what was going on because ppl were speaking a foreign language. I have no idea how Just Player does it, it Just does. 
I did install the Just Player is Stremio as suggested and it works great. I was getting frustrated with some of the issues others were having with the built in player. Thanks for the suggestion!
I have been doing some research on Stremio to see if I can figure out why so many are complaining about things like buffering and no vid but sound and so on. I have discovered that the internal player(Exoplayer) is old and no longer in development and instead is in what they call maintenance mode. Therefore it will not play some of the newer codecs. So the solution is to download and use VLC or Just Video Player which are both being actively developed and improved. On the rare occassion neither VLC or Just Player will work I found MX Player Pro will. I personally have Just Player and MX Player Pro. Troy has added Just PLayer to the Toolbox.

Thanks Miki. Iāve tried VLC and Just Player over the last couple of weeks and while they improved things somewhat, thereās definitely something else going on - playback errors/issues that I just donāt get on Cinema or Kodi/POV.
Very odd as my 64 bit Stremio is running smooth as silk, especially with the Torrentio fixes last weekend.
Donāt think this is the issue, but I use the 32 bit version with all my Android devices(?)
Which devices do you use the 64 bit version on?
Oh you may have no choice, my streamer is 64Bit.

Guys, my Stremio was working great, I mean it was like a dream it was so smooth and effortless. Version 1.6 something. I decided to try Just Player so downloaded it from toolbox, then decided āwhat the heckā and updated Stremio. That was a mistake.
I am getting all kinds of glitches. Some streams take several tries to find player that works. The one that works this stream may not work on the next from the same source and data listed. It will play audio other than english. The video will play with no audio. The video may be choppy. It may play audio and no video. The audio may play normal and the video play in slow motion. It is truly like a box of chocolates, you never know what you gonna get. So far I have not noticed a pattern, just seems and adventure for every attempt. Usually, can get a stream and player to work but my goodness it is not smooth and effortless any longer.
Hopefully, they will work out the kinks soon.
My version is 1.8.3 and I have TorBox, torrentio PM,RD, and PM, along with Duck streams(Advanced setup) installed using Just Player(Legacy) as well as MX Player Pro(both from Troyās toolbox ) installed and all running beautifully. I have stremio set to use external player but do jot set it up for always but use Just once every time, then when I get the odd source that has issues with just player, I switch to MX Player Pro. I tried using the full VLC player but man it messed my system up big time, it changed a bunch of settings and it never would work properly, took me an hour to rip it out and fix the players and Stremio settings. Had to delete all external players, force close Stremio, clear Itās cache, reboot my device and reinstall players. Last night ot seemed to be royally messed up with Russian languages instead of English on the sources and like you I had to click around a number of times sources to find a proper one. Today it does seem to have been fixed. Couldnāt tell if this was just a source issue or the app. Have a buffer free day.
not sure what you have done wrong but I suggest to start over with stremio. I just checked and get hundreds of links to that movie both RD and non.
I use Stremio and Surfshark. I have intermittent issues. Some times Stremio will not find any streams when I have the vpn on. Other times it will find streams but when I select them it just hangs and does not play anything. I have done some tests and if Surfshark is off it will find and play streams. I have premiumize and only view streams it supplies. Any thoughts? Are there setting in Surfshark I need to Adjust?
Have you tried turning off Clean Web?

I use Stremio with Surfsharkand RD. Generally it works perfectly but I have experienced this problem a few times. I have found it is nothing to do with Stremio but with Surfshark. I think occasionally a server location can get overloaded or have technical issues. I have found changing server location solves the problem. For example I usually link to New York. One time when I had the problem I asked SS to choose the fastest location. It came up with Toronto - wow - but things worked fine. Another time it chose Charlotte, I do not use clean web.
