When I get time, I will try dual booting old pc instead of using bootable USB.
Should be insteresting to try. The beginning of year I made bootable W7, 10 and 11 USB sticks to run on a system to test with no HD. It was trial and error but they all worked however ran very slow as they didn’t run usb3 speeds on that old box. There are other apps other than rufus as well. It was fun and now it has a hd, I can still of course choose where to boot from. It would be nice if this actually works and runs on a pc.. ** This should keep me busy for a few hours or weeks ….
While spiraling down the rabbit hole of stuff I want to do, I shall stop at this level for an attempt. Both seem like good methods to make streaming even more portable than lugging a device along. Although they are not big or cumbersome per se, it just seems more convienient to be able to have a “System on a Stick” or on my Speedy Laptop since I have to take it along anyway. Thanks!
I actually finally did this yesteday and much to my surprise it works really well and fast as well. I don’t have a Usb 3 port but using a large usb 3 stick. I mean google is used to running on such little cpu power compared to a pc, no wonder is responds quickly. I’ve been adding things from Troy’s toolbox as well but need to add background apps and will get that from uptown as it does not show up in my google playstore. Honestly after all the slow W11 and W10 booting usb’s I’m pleasanty suprised. I guess this is my post for the day
