sktn, I have film plus on my FS since Troy talked about it while back and have been using it since then worked well and ! like it very much I never had any ads at all . I have been watchin the show called Hostage(British) in last week but when I got to episode 4 it won’t open I’ve tried to see if it works so I tried some earlier episode of alien earth and Wednesday but it didn’t work ! anybody knows if the site/app still working? I wanted to delete and reinstall it again until i read this comment by Miki “ Film plus is a 3rd party app has been blocked by Amazon for some fire tv devices and some users won’t be able to downloaded or use the app on their device. So i have few questions The app still working? is it safe to delete and try to install it again? Please advice. Thanks
FilmPlus hasn’t been blocked by Amazon. Try uninstalling and reinstalling it again. It should work fine, even without Real Debrid but non-premium providers are drying up so there may just not be any streams that you are looking for.
I reinstall the app just like before everything is there but nothing opens up to watch any suggestions?
What version of FilmPlus are you using? Have you installed Bear Player (it needs that to work). Try watching Alien Earth. I can get those episodes to play on FilmPlus. Note that you might have to try a couple of streams to find one that works but you should be able to find some to play - I can.
I reinstalled both of them Film plus version 2.3.3r and Bear player V 2.20.13 but it just simply wouldn’t work and i want to watch the remaining episode on bunch of the shows another strange thing i noticed is I tried to watch the Hostage on Netflix app in Kodi there was only 4 provider 2 wouldn’t open and the other 2 were a Swedish movie but the same name “Hostage” i like this app very much you can rewind, fast forward, and choose to watch with subtitle when in some parts they talk in different language like Hostage when they speak French i some parts, I am a retired person and this is the only entertainment I have now this app is getting crappy. BUT thanks for trying to help! I hope there is somebody who has a different idea and suggestion to get this fixed. Now I’m limited to one replay per day unless I pay how and when this came about?? Honestly, for people who do not use a premium debrid service, the best alternative to ad-ridden apps like this is to simply use Stremio with webstreaming addons. The two most commonly ones would be these:
Or of course, if you’re paying for a debrid service already or are planning to, there’s a plethora of addons that should find nearly all the content you desire.
Try Cinema HD, Onstream, NetMirror (all with no ads) or BeeTV, (with ads, like FilmPlus), NovaTV, (some versions have ads, others dont). Google these names and “Troypoint” for instructions how to add to your streaming device.

I have installed stremio it looks ok but when i tried to watch some of the tv series the earlier ones what I already watched but i was trying to see if Stremio works but i was getting these messages depending on what i was trying to watch, “ Failed opening external link”/ “No streams were available”/ in one case i got this “This video is unavailable” Error code 15. Any fix for these and what do I have to do to fix this? BTW I clicked on Sync Addons on Stremio home page and I got this “addons successfully synchronized” but don’t know why none of the apps opens the movies/tv shows thanks to sktn77a for giving me the info’s tried to install Onstrem no nluck and I was reading some post from 2024 everybody was saying it didn’t work tried few codes none worked Net mirror didn’t work and i heard about Flexvision tried that no luck there but i was able to install Cinema HD so far working good thanks to sktn77a gain
Did you install the two add-ons that were posted above in Stremio?
Make sure the addons, above, are installed and you have a real-debrid account. For many more obscure shows and movies, there just aren’t any streams out there.
Film Plus suddenly stopped working. App starts and you can select a movie or TV show and available streams load. But clicking on them the screen goes black and takes you back to the home page. Every time. I deleted the app and then downloaded and reinstalled but still the same. Any ideas?
I’ve had decent luck with Flix vision. Anyone used that yet? Obviously use a VPN with it.
It’s caused by the last update, clear data and cache.
Try this before wiping data and cache:
I recommend before you do that you delete the watched*.backup and fav.backup located under “internal storage>FilmPlus>backup”. Then go to settings in Film Plus and save both watched and favorites.
I didn’t do that and lost both but wiping data did restore the functionality. So I don’t know that removing and saving those files will save favorites and watched but it should.
It’s working fine for me, even with the latest update. Have you installed Bear Player (mandatory to get FilmPlus to play)?
EDIT: Well, it was…………. My FilmPlus was officially blocked by Amazon on my FireTV 4k Max today (no “Launch Anyway”) option.
This is happening to me lately and I have a Fire TV cube 3rd gen. Amazon just within the last couple of weeks even if I’m in a Tea Tv app they have done the same or I’ve noticed that when I’ve had my IP vanish on I would go back into it and it would be off. I just plugged my old ONN box 4K ironically in the back of the fire cube HDMI so it would be easier for me to access it. For streaming on cinema etc everything works fine I probably will upgrade to the Onn pro because I notice a difference in the AI to make streaming viewing better with lower definition. I’ve done my tests on the fire cube third gen and it’s a lot better than my 4K max second gen. With upscaling. I’ve been using Fire TV devices since 2015 The only thing I could suggest if you’re trying to stick with what you have Troy has a app cloner that lets you clone the app to make Amazon think that it’s okay.on his tools through the downloader app and a video that you can watch that will be my next step to try to get the cube working again with all those Amazon app blocking I’ve noticed more though in the last couple of days apps that worked fine before don’t work fine at all again along with films plus Hope I’ve helped
